I mean, obviously because they made the wrong trades? What kind of trading are you referring to here? Leveraged trading or something else? Most of the time people consider options to be the same as gambling, but leverage trading is quite debatable. Gambling is highly dependent on luck, the same cannot be said about forex trading (unless you're specifically referring to a scam broker etc). I also think people knew forex trading way earlier before crypto was popular, how you conclude the opposite is quite interesting. Besides, even if forex is similar to crypto, what is the guarantee that everyone will make profits? Even if you limit yourself to crypto, you can still lose money.

Forex as the name implies foreign exchange involves the buying and selling of currency pairs like EUR/USD AUD/USD etc... Forex isn't gambling before placing a trade , taking profits and stop losses  u must know about FUD/fear, uncertainty and  death taking risk isn't easy. U must know about technical analysis and fundamental analysis and observing charts.

From what I understand it is the most difficult type of trading, but it is in the general line of trading. No matter how much it is promoted, no matter how much you see influencers advertising it, covertly or not, (charging them and generating profits for the houses) in trading there is a very high probability that you will lose your money. If you add leverage it is even higher, and the higher the frequency, the higher it gets.

So if you think you are going to get rich with little capital, doing a lot of trades a day from home, you are wrong.

Basically forex trading is very different from crypto currency trading.  I have basically no idea about forex trading so I could not comment on forex trading for now.
There are many possible reasons for losing in Forex trading, the most common reason being inexperience in trading.  Many people go to trading without any prior knowledge about forex trading and only face losses due to inexperience.

It might be a lot of reasons. People may not be prepared before they get into the market. Also, they don't have a risk management plan which I believe is equally important to the trading strategy. Some people need to change the way they approach this thing.

         -  Forex trading, because if we look at it, has similarities with crypto trading; the only difference is that real money is traded in forex, and while in crypto it is digital currencies called cryptocurrency 24/7, you can do trading, while in forex it is on weekends, there is no trading activity. Which is actually very far from gambling.

Gambling should not be compared to trading because trading is not a game where you only bet and guess without knowing anything about reading a chart or graph. Your status will be that of a gambler if you do that and think that you are a trader.

The market is really fructuated and consistently shaped. Once you feel like getting the feel of the market and your strategy has been proven several times suddenly you just get a new slap on the face.

Some other people also think that it's all about knowing the charts and a few indicators but do not understand risk management and the emotional side of trading, and that affects their trading to a very large extent. Another reason is that some traders mainly focus on technical analysis and do not pay attention to fundamental analysis because they have the notion that it is not important. Both fundamental and technical analysis are relevant to a successful trader.

It's funny that a lot of people still ask this question, the only way to find out is to explore and learn about the both of them yourself, after all it is said that experience is the best teacher but it's also profitable to learn from other people's experience. Forex trading and casino gambling are two different things although they have some similarities and one is the fact that they both involve taking risks, but In forex trading there are lots of theorical and strategic factors that can make you be in profit even though it's not everyday but at least your losses won't outweigh your profits, this is only guaranteed when you follow the right steps of learning and constant strategy development, and also not trading against the trend. Casino gambling on the other hand has no systems or courses to study it's a game of chance and luck, you can't be in control of what happens in each round, everything is in favour of the house

I don't think people just playing casinos blindly without them knowing what they are doing even though it's a chance based game at least they understood what they are doing before them going into gambling on casino's. However they both requires knowledgeable and someone must have a sound knowledge to be able to either involved him or herself into one of these things out there.

About forex, what I can only say is that the stress to study about it is more compared to gambling because one must be overly ready to study and explore new things to go about becoming successful in forex trading, more especially knowing and studying the weekly days of each currencies.

After reading your post I have to admit that they are spot on,  improper analysis is a very good reason why people lose their money in forex. Not having a strategic plan before diving into the market can make you blow your trading account and. Like you said impatience is also one of the reasons why people lose, sometimes you just have to wait for an opportunity to take it no matter how long it might take, but some traders want to get rich overnight so they just make wreckless decisions.

and when they can't find the opportunity, they try to make their own even in just scalping which could be bed entry to position in forex market which is some how like a futures market in crypto.

so many newbie tries the forex for the first time like its the money maker for them to explore. they view it like its the easiest thing to do only to realize the charts may not be as easy to figure.  i tired forex for once in my life, it didn't work like i hope so but there are days to remember where market can be good for a trader like the non farm payroll which could be a good opportunity.
