To me the most painful part is when applying for a job and they are looking for individuals with 5-10 years work experience me wey just dey graduate.
Nowadays looking for a white-collar job is difficult but having a skill or craft can also be helpful to provide for yourself, being an entrepreneur even do it is hard and expensive especially looking for  capital to start business is better than someone just waiting for or looking for job employment
Unemployment is one of the most common challenges that we face in this country. Taking education as an example, there is a shortage of lecturers/teachers in most primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, which has a negative impact on the knowledge of future generations unless you enrol your child in private institutions, which not everyone is capable of doing. Unless the government had recruited more individuals.
Unemployment is one of the things that government should look into seriously in this country as we have allot of graduate flooding the street of the country, government should as a matter of emergency create job opportunities that will employee the citizens of the country this can be achieved through industrialization of the economy, government should set up medium and long term plans on ground to solve the problem of unemployment in the nation

Unemployment rate is no longer a joke we are having different schools having different graduates in different courses but no job for them and one thing wey dey funny me is the fact that even the places where jobs are available will always asked for someone with more than a year experience
If every single employer out there is looking for an experienced person how will the new graduates niw have the opportunity to get this experience
I really pray it changes for the better sooner or later because at this rate there will also be an increase in criminal activities
Man most survive
Unemployment has gotten to the point where it should be seen as a national emergency because it's no longer funny as every year there are allot of graduate coming out of the university system with no hope of getting a job , I can say that the increase in crime in our dear country has a role or link to unemployment as they say an idle mind is the devil's work shop  government should come up with immediate and long term plans to absorb the unemployed population of the citizens to where they can be mean fully engaged in

Currently unemployment is a problem that has to receive a considerable attention, as it affects different spheres of human’s life. For whereas when many people have unemployed and/or bad jobs, we are lacking in leverage that could be used to construct a better future. Thus affirmative employment not only assists individuals to gain power and regain justice, but also brings about stableness and prosperity to that environment. Such measures would create work, teach skills, generate new jobs, and give a helping hand to local enterprises are can be a true movement towards fighting unemployment. By coming together, it means that efforts for positive change in the diversified and extensive community will in the long-run be of value.

Unemployment has become unbearable, with rates increasing daily. The government needs to address this issue. The crisis is affecting many citizens, particularly youths, who are turning to illegal activities like kidnapping, rape, terrorism, theft, and more due to lack of job opportunities.

If the government provides job opportunities for the youth, I believe that not only will the unemployment rate decrease, but also the rate of illegal activities will decline simultaneously.

Provision of jobs vacancies and invention of company and industry will really be a good idea to provide more opportunities for citizens to work and at least as you said the reduction of illegal activities will stop and citizens can live freely and secure. If the country or government bring a lot of job opportunities then everything will move forward and the economy aspects will be very much better and productive. All we need are jobs to stop this employment both educated and non educated have their own aspects of skills so providing jobs for them will really promote and support the economy and nation in general.

If you're not employed, then try as much a possible to employ yourself, this can be possible when you have taken your time to learn a particular trade and know it, then you could later in life try to make it what turns your own personal career as well, then from there, people can begin to come for patronage and you earn by charging for your service, instead of waiting for someone to get you employed.

Many people want to learn a specific skill or trade but do not have the necessary financial resources. To learn some of these skills, you will need a lot of money. In some cases, where the service charge is low, individuals are directed to purchase the basic equipment required to learn the skill. This can be difficult if the individual is not buoyant enough, as some of these items can be quite expensive.

For instance, someone who wishes to go into tech needs to have a laptop with certain specifications, which can be costly. So, while learning a skill is important, I also understand that learning it can be challenging. This has actually killed some people's motivation to learn the skill. In fact, even where there are free skill empowerment programmes, they are not as detailed, so participants will be required to continue their training, which will also require financial resources.

I agree with you on your points as most people have the needed ideas to start up something and make them self productive to society and self employed but what they really lack is the financial means to go about it, money is the main thing that is holding a lot of person's backyard from achieving their vision and goals as what you need to actualize your dreams and plains is possible through Money so if you don't have money is like your plans are incapacitated as they will not be made to materialization

The unemployment in Nigeria is a purposeful act by the Nigerian government, due to selfish and self centered mind set. They do these things for the citizens of the country to suffer.

The corruption in the country has eaten from the dept root of old leaders to the most newly elected leaders, and as a new government leader, you have to succumb to their existing methods. I take time to critically analyze the actions of the government to it's citizens; that in no time the citizens gains from the government and any possible little way in which the citizens will gains, they come up with one regulations to block it.

The internet being a place numerous opportunities exist, Nigerian IP address are restricted to access those sites.
Funny enough, the citizens still make way to survive, and that's why they can survive anywhere in the world.

Your right when you said that the situation that we find our self's with the high rate of unemployment in the country as a  deliberate act by the government to suffer and impoverish the citizens of the country because I don't see no reason why a country that is as blessed as Nigeria lacks industries where citizens will have the opportunities to work
I agree with you hundred percent because I have come to the realization that everything that is happening is a way to keep the citizens in check and have a great control over them

The unemployment in Nigeria is a purposeful act by the Nigerian government, due to selfish and self centered mind set. They do these things for the citizens of the country to suffer.

The sole reason is so they can always dictate how the people live their lives and exert control over them. If people were well-cared for, they would be less likely to engage in activities the government would like them to, such as rigging elections or assassinating political rivals, making it harder for the government to take advantage of them for its own ends. Because of this, they are perpetually kept in poverty, making them a state tool.

As you said, the government purposefully causes suffering for its citizens. It is not as if there are not resources available to ensure the greatest number of people are happy, but in their minds, they would lose out on providing jobs and happiness to the populace. The government constantly seeks to impose its will on the populace, and one tactic it employs to do so is to deny them a means of subsistence.

The unemployment in Nigeria is a purposeful act by the Nigerian government, due to selfish and self centered mind set. They do these things for the citizens of the country to suffer.
Yeah though I wouldn't call it a purposeful act , I actually see it more as an I don't care kind of act. However the whole thing is just so silly that it begins to seem as if it's a purposeful act which is actually very wrong. The government has it's sole responsibility and the fact is if they fail to attend properly to it the end result is always a poor economic status.

The labour market is being abused if you ask me and even qualified youths are now underpaid. Those who struggle to keep up self employment are drawn back by inflation too.

There is no need putting up a defense for the government. It is obviously purposeful. The government is aware of the unemployment situation in the country or are you saying that the government is not aware of the rate of unemployment and the cry of the masses? Government is even more informed than us so there is nothing happening in the country that they are not aware.

The labour market is being abused if you ask me and even qualified youths are now underpaid. Those who struggle to keep up self employment are drawn back by inflation too.

When there are no good jobs available, people will take any job they can find, regardless of pay. As you mentioned, most graduates have taken on low-paying jobs in order to stay engaged and meet the demands of life.  They may not be satisfied with their pay, but they have no choice.

I am also of the same view as you are but as time went on and looking at the continued negligence of our leaders towards their duty, I began to feel it is an intentional act from them because if the youths are gainfully employed and well paid, there would be nobody to do their dirty jobs and sing their praises carrying placards round the streets. Tell me, who will leave their office to campaign or political meetings for politicians when they are gainfully employed and are also well paid? If the youths are well equipped and leading a good life, they would have the full power to vote the leaders out and be free of being used by them to do any silly act. These are the fears of the politicians hence their negligence to the vital things that are important for the wellbeing of her citizens to lead a good life.

fact is that the leaders are intentional about some of the things they do and the issue of unemployment is one of them because our leaders know that if they carry out their responsibilities of creating job's and equip the youths with the necessary skills which will be helpful to them there will be no political tug that they will use in snatching ballot boxes and those who will be singing their praises

So they are doing everything possible to make sure that the youths has no job and no good skills that will keep them engaged so that they can manipulate them and want the masses to do their bidding when ever that they want
