This is very true. You shouldn't expect the firms under the private sector to pay above what they can afford to pay all in the name of meeting up to the minimum wage. The private sector also suffers the illness of the system too and they are run for profit also.
Infact the kind of job and it's sector actually determines if the pay should be up to the minimum wage or not because a low budget private sector doesn't even have enough workforce to warrant a minimum wage.
You also have a great input to this but don’t forget that some private sectors make use of their workers much more than what they’re paying them as wages monthly. Some private sectors even when they can afford the minimum wage won’t want to do it because of their greediness.
They want the maximum input into their works but won’t listen to the hearings of their workers because they feel they don’t have a choice and there is no job outside for them. Those are what they leverage on and I don’t blame them but the failed system that hasn’t provided enough work for its citizens to enjoy from.
Those that can pay should be forced to pay while their that can’t should at least give them in equivalent to the effort they’ve putting in. With the rise in minimum wage, everything will begin to skyrocket and they’ll adjust to the current minimum wage payment of civil servants which is bad and market people are find wanting more with this kind of behavior.
