Hardware wallets are much safer option for holding your cryptocurrencies, and there are many options to choose but they are not perfect.

If you are using hardware wallet please tell us the model you have.

If you don't use any hardware wallet can you please state your reasons why.

I intend to use the model Trezor one because it's quite affordable for me and secure. It is miniature which will enable me to hold it out just if I have to. it also works with over a thousand cryptocurrencies and the manufacturer Satoshi lab designed it such that its secret key is kept away from online thieves. They also keep its feature up-yo-date which makes it safe and its also user friendly.

I would give you unsolicited advise to go with trezor safe 3 instead of Model one, It's little pricey compared to latter but should serve you for more years for it being a recent launch.

Right now I'm just ordering a hardware wallet, I'm just waiting for its availability. I'm a little nervous because it's my first time buying a hardware wallet.
Of course, maybe later nothing will arrive after I've already paid, and the shipping fee is still expensive.

This is what my idea is because it's coming from another country, when it arrives I will show here and make a topic to give my review on it,
when I see if the hardware wallet has arrived. But for now, I'm still waiting.
We're still waiting for your updates about your new hardware wallet! I'm also quite curious to know if setting up and using a hardware wallet is too difficult and not user-friendly for a new user.

Personally, I don't plan to buy a hardware wallet right now. I prefer the convenience, and hot wallets and accounts on CEXs still meet my needs. I don't have too much BTC or ETH to keep in cold storage, and I'm not too worried about the fate of my crypto assets on CEXs :)

The use of a hardware wallet should not be a big deal to think about if we can also consider on the worth of our digital assets portfolio and the cost to securing one, that is why some will not hesitate before buying on any hardware wallet, because they have the understanding that its nothing compared to the risk they may have while using a custodial storage, then after getting pone, we should also learnt o handle and manage it well.

DIY hardware wallets have also become quite interesting, such as Krux and Specter DIY. They are all open source and packed with features that cater to all kinds of users like airgap, a camera for scanning QR codes, BIP-85, and more.

I plan to build a Krux if I can’t get my hands on a Coldcard Q.

This site has a collection of all the information, features and functionalities of each hardware wallet, and it also has a comparator: https://thebitcoinhole.com/hardware-wallets

I plan to build a Krux if I can’t get my hands on a Coldcard Q.
Krux is not bad if you want to use hardware wallet only for bitcoin, but note that you will have to import seed words each time you power on device.
There are positive and negative sides with this approach, but you don't have t worry that someone can hack your Krux if you lost it.

I dont use a hardware wallet right now mostly because I have not spent a significant amount yet. For modest sums I feel like software wallets are fine and more convenient but I do plan to acquire one maybe a Ledger or Trezor once I get in deepe. Security is incredibly essential therefore I appreciate why people prefer hardware wallets

I mean, you just gotta follow instructions that it shows you to setup a hardware wallet, it's as similar as we navigate through the world by reading signs.

If you are using hardware wallet please tell us the model you have.

I have been in the crypto space for a while, but I have not used a hardware wallet before. It's not because I did not feel the need for a hardware wallet, but it's because I was unable to import/buy one from the official sources. Most hardware wallet companies do not ship their product to my country because of the restrictions. Crypto is banned in my country.

But, I somehow managed to get a Safepal S1 hardware wallet from a trusted source, and luckily, I got it as a gift from my friend. So yes, I am using a hardware wallet right now and it's Safepal S1.

Man gift me one lol! Every time I see threads like this, I want to get a hardware wallet more! If I could get my hands on one, that would be awesome. The source you were referring to, is he well acquainted in acquiring the wallet?  Now I feel even more jealous, coz of of us are in the same country, yet you are using one, but I cannot.

This is not the best choice for hardware wallet because it is closed source and you can't use it with other software wallets, only their app is supported.
It is better than using only hot wallets but I would not trust Safepal for any larger amounts.
You can easily make your own DIY hardware wallet with raspberry pi, M5StickV, Maix Amigo and similar devices.
Comparison can be found on thebitcoinhole website:
