From my little knowledge I can say that if you want to do mining in Bitcoin then you need to get a very expensive setup from where you can mine some bit coins.  And it's almost a lot more expensive.  So I would suggest you to go to trading sites with some capital and start trading slowly.  And in future if you are a big trading man then you can make a lot of profit.

Why is this myth always mentioned in the discussions?
You don't need "expensive" stuff to mine Bitcoin, even if you were mining with GPU you would still need high-performance cards, same with BTC, you can get ASICs with $1000 per piece, but more important you need cheap electricity.
A guy that has access to 2 cents per kwh and just 2 grand in his pocket will make more money than one with 100k but who can't get anything under 8 cents kWh.

And unlike mining which is a business with clear costs and revenues, trading is risky, you an simply lose everything, and there might be months where you don't make a penny. Comparing mining with trading is like comparing agriculture with gambling.

Mate, whichever way you looked at mining Bitcoin, it is still expensive especially to many members who can't afford these computer gadgets that you mentioned. I am novice in mining but what I have heard about mining Bitcoin and OOW coins is already expensive and the issue of generating
the required electricity is another difficulty and a huge cost in mining.
Generally, mining Bitcoin or any POW coins for instance, is quite expensive in my opinion, and I can't equate mining with Trading because, as a trader, I think that trading is better than mining coins.
If you have no experienced in trading crypto, you are bound to suffer loses but with a wealth of experiences in trading you may, at certain times suffer little loses but not loosing everything thing you had. I am still trading and making profit regularly.

don't have / understand mining, it's better not to try, as you said, there will be many losses if forced, it's better to pay in installments as much as we can if we want to have our favorite coins, the cost of buying mining equipment is better to buy coins directly and wait until the target price is determined

As a fresher, what is the best app i can use for mining?

App? 99.9% of apps that claim you can mine coins with it are scams!
The other 0.1% it's fake mining , they will just send you coins daily without actually mining or solving blocks or anything!
They will either make you watch endless ads, steal your keys or install other malware on it or you will end with useless tokens that are not accepted anywhere for your "work".

It's also pretty easy to understand why there won't be any, your smartphone will never be able to compete in terms of hashing power even with a laptop or a standard computer before overheating, a GPU will simply "mine" 1000 times what a smartphone would so why would anyone use a smartphone to mine in the first place and how secure would that chain be?
I think what you have just stated here is the same method and techniques that the hamster Kombat season 1 used. They will send you 1 million coins give you free keys all those things were just deceit to keep miners pushing and keep wasting their data for them at the end they came with another strategy that was never disclosed from the beginning cause they never wanted anyone to get something tangible. After giving millions and mining billions they came with a profit per hour when it was already close to the airdrop period, my phobia for airdrops now is to stay away and focus on more profitable things.

If your focus is on mining tokens prior to their listing, participating in launchpool might be a good option to opt for. There you get to participate in token distribution before the tokens become available in the market, often with lower entry barriers compared to traditional mining. Platforms like BingX offer this opportunity, so it might be worth checking out

If you want to mine with apps there are choices i would exclude nicehash because it squeezes your GPUs reducing their lifespan i am fine with the unmineable app or there is even an operating system to control your mining i.e. hiveos

There are a lot of coins that use different apps in mining so this question depends on which coin that you're interested in mining because the mine problem with crypto currency is the mining process as there are allot of scams currently going on with mining telegram used to be a good place for mining before but off recent telegram too has been flooded with plenty fake crypto projects that are only concern about their brand rather than giving value to customers because after mining of a project in telegram customers don't get return on their investments as most of those projects on telegram has failed to meet up with expectations

i use simplemining.net to control a few gpu rigs.

i lose money doing this as my power cost is 16.6 cents a kwatt reduce that to 15 cents as the heat is good in the winter.

so I burn about a kwatt an hour or 24 a day at a cost of 15cents x 24= $3.60

my earnings are about 3 dollars mining xelish

so I lose 60 cents a day.

I could explain why I take the loss.

It helps me for taxes
