Exactly, and not only on YouTube but also others and most of these influencers are scammers. They are looking for client to scam. Untrusted influencers everywhere.

+1, I also agree that one should never trust YouTube or other social media influencers as most of the times they get paid for promoting a coin/projects and the users who trust such influencers often end up losing their investments.

Of course without any reference the risk of being cheated is high in this work. My friend did a youtuber marketing job for a clint but he didn't get paid. After the work was done the client raised various issues and at one point the client blocked him and no further contact. But if we want we can do many such work through fiver and upwork and it is possible to get confirmed payment there.

In such work it is 50/50. Your friend would taking 50% from the client first before completing the job for him. Most of the big names in the internet either are clowns,  imposters or behind the scenes characters and they are there just to Scam others sweat. See how your friend wasted time and resources. And one good thing is that you didn't lost your funds for the scammers but your knowledge and effort. Just take courage and have a Thick Skin to move on.
