Aside counselings, can an addicted gambler ever moderate himself all by himself to quit or limit his gambling addictions?
Indeed, in my view, the willingness of the gambler is what determines whether or not they stop gambling. I've seen a similar post here that suggested that prayer whether from Christianity or Islam, could help an addicted gambler quit, but 90% of respondents said that wasn't possible until the gambler stopped willingly that's when the prayer will work.
That is also true for me because I don't believe that friends advice or prayer will work for addicted gambler when he still have a strong desire for that thing, but the only way an addicted gambler will prevent himself from gambling I know this is not an easy task, but since they regret after gambling, what they need do is to progressively lower the amount of gambling, try to challenge their beliefs, and pay attention to their emotional wellbeing so that they do not follow the temptation to gamble.
