There is a video I would like to share on this forum that will be insightful for members but I don't know if it is possible to share a video in this forum and if it is not against the forum rule, please I would like to know how I can share a video here.

Nice. Even though I am not the person who asked, I am glad to know this. I wanted to make a post and share a video but since I couldn't, I didn't make the post again but knowing this I will make my post and that would be on the right board as you mentioned. Thanks.

I never as well know that this is possible to share video on this platform, all I thought of was sharing the link to the video source, this feature enabled is one of the interesting ones an going to develop my like with on the use of the forum, this indeed is part of the reasons why this platform can be also regarded as a resourceful one, a home that welcome in all kinds of learning opportunities.

just post your link in your post, i think the forum will recognized it and will know that its a media. i tried pasting a link from youtube in the my thread https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=319834.0

it looks like anyone can play the video without going to youtube.  its good for short videos only which the moderators here will not have to waste their time watching them incase something is inside that video violates. but most of the time when its not deleted by youtube, its fine.

There is no need to upload anything in forum, and this is not a hosting space.
If video is from youtube or from some other platforms you can just post a link, it should be fine with the rules unless video contains something that is illegal or 18+

First, you have to upload a video to YouTube, after uploading the video to YouTube, you have to copy the link of that video. When you copy the link of the uploaded video on YouTube, after copying, you have to enter the forum and click on the Replay or Quote option like other posts by entering the forum. By clicking on any of these two options, you will see three logos showing above like YouTube. Based on the type of video you want to upload or how you want to upload, you choose any icon and by choosing that icon, you paste your link and post it. Hopefully your uploaded video will be visible in the forum.

nice answer. This forum is well organized that you don't have to post anything you want to. There is a section for the thing you want to post. Even there was a day I was trying to include a link in my post in the local board but it was not going so why I did was to edit and let be. Nice to know the YouTube section of the forum.

There are a lot of ways to share videos and uploading one to a media-sharing site like YouTube or Loom would be ideal. You just have to link it and there's no problem with referencing it in a post. Unless the content is problematic, that would be subject to deletion of post or something. I don't know why you are worried with posting and thinking it's against forum rules.

I just realized that we can indeed share videos here. Maybe this can be used if we want to make educational videos such as trading techniques and the like. Even though the method is not to upload it directly here, but first you have to upload it on YouTube, but it's still a good and interesting thing. But until now it is still rare for users to make posts accompanied by videos. So I realized this too late.

No sharing video is not against the forum rules, you can easily share the video, even though this forum has its own YouTube embedded system. In simple words, if you will place the link to a YouTube video in your post, and then post it on the forum. It will not show the link but the video itself. For reference you can check my this post --> I am a newbie so I want to know what season I can hold bitcoin. Fun fact is, I also did not know before that if we paste a YouTube link it will show the video directly rather than showing the link only. It's a cool thing.

Actually, I thought we had to use the YouTube tag, from the text box tools, we are provided with while writing a post. You can see the red tad of YT. And if you are talking about sharing some other platform's video (not of YT) then simply paste the link and the member will click it to reach the destination video.

I also only found out after seeing this thread and indeed I haven't explored much what are the features of this group.
But this feature is also very helpful for sharing videos and can be watched directly on forums without having to exit or redirect to the youtube site again.

A video thumbnail will appear and can be played immediately, quite simple and easier to share the video on the post.

Privacy badger seems to block the YouTube embed on this website, or maybe that's just how they handle YouTube embed in general since they always track its viewers. Maybe we can use other video hosting services instead of Youtube, especially for someone who cares about their digital privacy. I'd be more than happy to watch videos linked on the forum if they don't track or spam ads to me.

Of course you can post videos directly from youtube sector as sharing any video is not against forum rules. Even this forum has its own youtube embedded system where you can share topics along with videos. One interesting thing is that in this forum you can directly upload videos without links which is another best way to get views. If your content is well known then everyone will enjoy it. Moreover refrain from sharing any kind of fraudulent videos.

To share video content with friends on this forum, we must first be able to upload it to a video hosting service, there are many free video hosting services that can be used, one of which is YouTube... you can create a channel on YouTube and then upload it.... after successfully uploading you can share the link here and even display the thumbnail too....

If there is a problem with YouTube, for example if it turns out that the video you shared is banned by YouTube, or maybe there is another problem... you can try sendvid.com, then you can share the link here... don't forget to provide a description of the video in your post, because when using Sendvid it will only give you a link, no thumbnail is displayed in your post.

note : Using sendvid, you don't need to register or even create a channel... but we don't know how long the video will be available.
