Here's the list of the top 100 users who received the most karma last month (January).

However, our top 2 (1st and 2nd) have a bit higher gap compared to the others because these two users just scraped their profile after how many months, thus the result of a karma spike. 😅

I didn't understand why you were not scraping their profile before. Some error? Username change?

Yes, a username error, while my user table is updated but my karma log table isn't. This is only affected on telegram user bot with conflicting usernames, that's. I never noticed it before so i changed my condition (backend).

Thank you for the clarification at least it's clear to me. I didn't even take notice of them though, all my thoughts was it's as usual, never knew that it wasn't cynchronized with November/December data. +1 karma for you.

honestly, this kind of topic is what makes some people start to be motivated by karma hunting because there are numbers and rankings... this is not a competition, but it seems like many people start to consider it as a matter of pride, so karma hunting and increasing contributions to the forum also seem to be affected...

hopefully with this topic it can make other people a little more enthusiastic in giving good posts on this forum..

honestly, this kind of topic is what makes some people start to be motivated by karma hunting because there are numbers and rankings... this is not a competition, but it seems like many people start to consider it as a matter of pride, so karma hunting and increasing contributions to the forum also seem to be affected...

Why am I only seeing this quote now - I just went through the thread to see what the hailing was about and discovered I top the karma for last month. Lol this is not worth any celebrations and I haven't been following this thread for sometime now. I personally don't care about the karma system that much same way I don't fancy the merit system.

Just log in do my shit and disappear - if my posts deserves Karma, fine, if not, fine.

The reason are these kind of topics, which certainly gives a lot of karma to the creator. Specially in bitcointalk,  which are Meta related topics. Here i believe it is no different.

Not much but it helped - I gave it +Karma without even voting and I'm not the only one who sent Karma to the thread without participating.
