Yes I agree with you. I have also seen someone who won 10 Millions naira which is approximately $8,000 with the sum of 800 Naira with thr current exchange rate is less than a dollar. Well in terms of playing a running game is totally depends on the gamblers because there are people that's always favoured by running game while others find it very difficult to cope with it but the good thing about running game is that you would be able to gather the matches that has the higher chance of wining even if there odds are very small.

Yeah, doesn't make sense to cash out just because you got bored of the long running games, or maybe if this bet is multi-game or parlay and so you have to wait for it to finished specially if you bet on cross sports. And if you place those bets it's obvious that you have that discipline to finished it.
