I am glad that I am reading this post this late, because my patience was almost over, and my belief as well. Because I have seen many old members saying (by old I mean experts) that BTC is not going to go up more than $80k. While before halving and ETF approval people were predicting the price to go up more than $150k even. I am confused but posts like these give me some kind of relief.

Although I know we should not follow others' advice, even if they are telling us to hold or not to hold, as we should do our own research. But its just that when people starts to say bull is no going to come as they were saying it already came before the halving as BTC made new ATH before the halving. This time its new. I hope BTC would make it to the $100k. BTW whats your target here OP.

What is a halving?

It is a block subsidy halves into a half of previous epoch. Miners' income comes from two sources:

• Block subsidy: that is halved (decrease 50%) after the halving block.
• Transaction fees from new found blocks.

By this formula, you can see that if transaction fees stay the same as in previous epoch, miners' income would drop 50% but according to the report, it dropped only 6% to 12%. What conclusion can be drawn here?

Miners get 50% less from block subsidies but get more from transaction fees which is not like 38% or 44% more, because we have to take into account a little bit price increase of Bitcoin after the halving day. Fortunately, price on 19 April and 29 May 2024 are nearly the same.

To sum up, a rough figure is miners get about 38% - 44% more in transaction fee since the Bitcoin halving day, 50% less in block subsidies.

I agree with your suggestion, we don't need to be affected by market conditions that appear to be dumping after the bitcoin halving because it seems like everyone is waiting. We should also do that, wait for the bullish season at the end of this year and keep holding our bitcoin.

The effects of halving were not so bad because we have again seen 71k$ of worth so it is hoping that very soon we will see the price higher than this and now as the price is 67k$ so it is also not so low that we assume the end of bull season.

Everyone is waiting and many people are still buying so if the buying rate does not decrease then there will be a probability of increased worth in the coming months. Don't sell your Bitcoin because experts have predicted that the price will hit 100k$ and we have to carry our investment till that time.

Yeah exactly holding our Bitcoins is the key to a decent gains especially if it will hit the desired price range of hundred thousand dollars. Thta is what we should be preparing right now while it's too early for the price to rally upwards. But this time we should be careful as there are huge players hoarding huge amount of Bitcoins because as soon as they tend to sell then that bull run will surely end as impacts will make the market red.

The amount of liquidity that is needed to make us seen a bull run  for another all time high is going to be a hard one because right now, even one is acting smart because no one want to be a scapegoat of exit liquidity, we all want to have a something for what we invested but that can't be achieve if there is no the sacrificial lamb, new people has to buy more few to take profits else we might remain stuck here forever.

Another factor I'm looking forward to see that will ignite the bull run is probably the next coming of US election. Since Trump has decided to give Bitcoin some good PR, maybe things will improve for short term but I don't know his future anymore since he was guilty in court yesterday for Hush money trial.
