The government has the chance to stop the development of AI because Elon Musk has a lot of things to do with it. They know him and Sam Altman whoeven worked for a government side job but the government encourage the development of AI.
If its going to take over the jobs of regular people the one that government will only care to collect tax I guess can center to one company, the one who owns the robots. Somehow these AIs are more reliable than humans so its not surprising.
Can you name a profession, where people were mass fired due o AI ? But dont call many from IT sector, as not every IT guys work is really that complicated. AI made it quicker and more simple. No wonder people got replaced by AI. Like conveyors and robots replaced manual assembly. For example not every company needs an employee in stuff, who will manage and print client receipts, as he can be replaced by script.
To many people wants to sit in the office, press buttons and put minimum effort to earn. Few wants to work and earn with their hands. This must be balanced. AI is to balance this.
Literally a couple sentences about "AI" as well. (in quotation marks for a reason) and IT, without the quotation marks

1. "AI as it currently exists is not real AI. Modern "AI" is more marketing than AI

2. "AI" is a huge, very fast database of KNOWLEDGE, with an AMAZING method of interaction, in the form of a large language model.
For whom is it really dangerous ? I'm taking IT now, as I've been in IT myself for 30 years

For people with low competencies working in positions that do not require high competencies!
For people who don't understand the advantages of AI as a Helper - they end up in a situation where AI replaces them.
And also people who are not ready to make efforts to "pump up" their knowledge and skills.
And this is a natural process. If you look at history, it is very similar to the situation, for example, in London, at the beginning of the 20th century, with Knocker-up - or "alarm clock people". As long as the population could not afford a simple mechanical alarm clock, this layer of workers was in demand. But with the advent of "AI" in the form of mechanical, affordable, cheap, alarm clocks, the Knocker-up simply disappeared, for lack of demand.... Now we are seeing the same thing, but adjusted for the 21st century.....
