It is progress in terms of technology, and it will make sending cryptocurrency between close family and friends as well as business associates a lot easier and faster.

But we still have to exercise caution because, just like exchanges, it is still not advisable for you to store your Bitcoin or whatever crypto assets you have on these messaging apps with crypto wallets permanently.

I'm not a fan of people trying to force two different products into one, especially if the nature of those products is different. The security required for messaging apps and crypto wallets is night and day, it is never a good thing to use your messaging apps as a crypto wallet. I know two projects that claim that their messaging apps are the best for crypto users, but they don't offer anything new. Basically, all of them are just vaporware, so I don't think they are worth your time at all. I mean, spending a few minutes on another app to make a transaction is not a big deal at all.

Well for me that would be a very huge leap from the traditional messaging apps we are currently using into something like the new innovation in technological advancement in messaging because of the fact that we can store and trade within the app itself without any hassle so for me that is considered a plus feature just like Telegram which value security and fast messaging.

if you are just going to ride the pumps of their token, i guess its an easy money when the tokens reaches new heights. its very attractive especially the TONcoin where millions of people are using this app. which also mean more people are aware of the investment they offer. what is the disadvantage of telegram is that their builtin wallet is its built-in. you don't own a private key.

not so many of them that i know actually but there are projects that has this package that includes a chat on their app.

I have not used any other messaging app other than telegram yet or if I did then I am unaware of it, is Phaver comes under this category but I have not used it for too long but for some time only. I actively use the Beoble platform which is also a messaging application (web base). And we can't send cryptocurrency of every type to each other on that.

It's just a defi messaging app that provides us complete privacy as we can make an account on it via metamask wallet. Without giving any other type of information. Setting the account is easy, although many people are spamming the boards and groups in order to get the airdrop but after that I hope the spam would be lower. TG is a good app and have a lot of application. I just don't like it because we have to use it via proxy.

It is not easy to make token prices high, there must be a product that can make investors interested in investing in the tokens that we have, TONcoin is a token that is still new but already has a fairly expensive price. I don't dare to store assets in Telegram because there it is very vulnerable to theft and even your account can be blocked unilaterally by Telegram. I don't dare take such a risk.

         -   I see a lot of crypto messaging apps today, but in my assessment, they will have a hard time keeping up with the competition these days, just like Messenger apps, Viber, WhatApps, Discord, and Telegram, which are serious opponents. And it can be said that Reddit has millions of communities, including yours.

But anyway, let's see what the response of the majority of millions of people around the world will be. But I can assure you that it's still a bit difficult right now; in fact, that's the reality I'm seeing right now.

Not familiar of this kind of thing TBH. I did a quick search on what are these, and I believe that it will be one of the things that I will not touch at all... at least for now.
Anyway, who knows. They might become more popular in the future for whatever reason it is. One thing's for sure. Your assets will not be safe if you will put it there. Telegram launched their own wallet which for me, is a no-no.

I am only aware of one such app - Mixin Safe.

A long time ago, they advertised a promotion and review campaign on Bitcointalk, which went pretty well, but then when everyone forgot about it, their whole platform suddenly got hacked and they lost a large part of their balance. Almost their entire balance if I recall correctly, and it brought all operations to a screeching halt. The CEO was even trying to negotiate with the hackers, it was crazy.

Due to the type of work I used to do, I required various messaging apps and I have to admit that it is quite tiring. Almost every group of users is used to a different app, for me it was torture between all of them. Damn notifications.

If something could unite several platforms, it would make sense for me and such a thing would make my life easier.

I am only aware of one such app - Mixin Safe.

I remember that very bad story, although they just started to appear on the Btt forum. It seems to me that the moment they drew attention to themselves, hackers found a loophole and cleaned out their wallets. Which were safe until then, as the name suggests.

Didn't Gbyte, later rebranded to Obyte, have similar functions even sending their coins via messages or email?

others are not attractive like the Crypton (CRP). i found out about the project since its advertised also in the other forum. i happen to joined the review and saw they have a chat for users engaging in p2p market. there are few hundreds that are active but not really same size of telegram.

another is the CVC, i'm not very familiar anymore of it. i'm not sure if you'd be interested, i don't think you would invest to it too.
just like the Crypton,  you need to have their app which the chat community is just too small i don't think you can find someone in there to talk dirty with unlike the Telegram.

Defi and cryptocurrencies generally aim to be your bank and take over your financial affairs and what these services are trying to provide is the exact opposite, we already have central and decentralized solutions for chat, and messages can be encrypted sent using central services so the use of blockchain here will make everything slower.
