Otherwise, we would be able to lose all our funds in the attempts to make something out of them.

We can earn income by holding, and I agree with you we do staking staking on binance even though the income is small according to the capital we use but at least with staking there is income from the assets we hold. I trade with 50% of my assets on binance and I stake half of it.

Maybe cheaper to go for diversification strategy, especially when it comes to investments in other to cover profit. There is also an opportunity to trade and use trading pools to benefit from volatile situations, and have generated base earning passive income. There should also always be supervision of the efficiency of every procedure applied and the efficiency of implemented strategies should change the time there is change in the market. As it has been said, this is the same in any other type of financial investment; it is even possible to get up-to-date and gain more knowledge about new trends in the sphere of cryptofunds. Thus, we shall adapt for contingencies as well as make better use of what opportunity there presently is out there.

• Centralized system

You are right this is the right time to buy ethereum, although not only ethereum some potential coins like bitcoin, solana, BNB are also good to hold until next year. I don't know, but you can also stake Ethereum through different validators out there since the coin is a POS already. Lido Finance and Rocketpool are the most popular validator that I think, and based on stakingrewards.com, the annual APY for it is around 3.15% which for me is very low knowing that we are in the crypto space.

Like you though, I don't also like storing any assets on any exchanges out there because of the reasons that you shared already but still, I have small amount of money on my exchange account so that I can just sell it anytime I want to. Indeed have many validator support for staking Ethereum, I don't see any excited offer because most of reward staking return under 3% and exchange have lower return earning than validator.
Today not any profitable earn easily with staking because almost exchange have the same return earn with annual APY earn under 4%.
Just hold it than staking take time for unlock and I doubt when have moment for Ethereum raise to higher price will difficult for defending more longer time.

Staking ETH has no higher annual APY, except for some new coins that appear you will be offered a large APY but the risk is not worth it.

Some people who stake ETH are just chasing points on this new project as a criterion when they will get rewards, so in ETH you can stake not only once but can branch out to other validators.

There more ways one can earn more money holding ethereum and one of the ways is using Ethereum for staking on later 2 projects. I know there are lots of scam projects out there but there are many new layer 2 projects out there with mainet working and Binance with many ventures has invested in them, you just need to check the ones Binance and big venture capitals out there money into and stake them.

Eigen was listed today and they  saw a lot of people made plenty of money from this project most especially people that stake their coins and them and they are now enjoying the benefit of patience with their ethereum coins.

Ethereum has had quite a nice trend for a couple of years now and I think that is something one should look out for when searching for a crypto to invest in. Well Ethereum is pretty much like an opposite of bitcoin like I have said in a couple of posts before, and that is because they have most of their properties as direct opposite of each other. Based on the trend of Ethereum I think it has a nice volatility just like bitcoin that will make it suitable for hodling as an altcoin.

Anyways in the case of Ethereum I will suggest buying at the closest dip or as a crypto trader would like to call it , "a nice pullback" . Bitcoin has quite a huge indirect impact on every major coin on the market and as such when there is a dip in bitcoin price Ethereum does dip too though at a higher percentage. Similar thing happens sometimes when bitcoin experiences a nice price pump.
