It's better if you don't feel comfortable trading on DEX, you can trade on CEX, because crypto provides many options. I also trade more on CEX, although sometimes I buy coins from new projects on DEX.
Actually, it all depends on our needs and beliefs in investing in crypto.

Yeah it's your choice, but as far as I know more people are staking in DEX with the relatively high APY rate plus other incentives.

Like I restaked ETH to various platforms but honestly it used to cost more, now it might be smaller because the gwei is lower.

A huge amount of coins get stolen by exchanges. The interest rates given are almost never high enough to cover the risk. I have friends that lost money in Mt Gox. SFX and a new zealand exchange .

To further qualify this post I detest eth and won’t buy it and stake it.

But I do understand many like the coin. I would be very careful about buying and staking it.
