Indeed Donald Trump promise legalizing bitcoin when success becoming US president and want to get many vote for winning election but not problem yet because he is the only one of United State president candidate show to the public about his interested with bitcoin.

If it's for legal payments, I don't think Trump will legalize it because USD is the world currency, he doesn't want to make a wrong move because it could be that if BTC is legalized as legal payment, the value of USD will be worthless.

I've seen some articles/videos speculating that support of of cryptocurrency investors (and there are millions of them in the US) could be a deciding factor in the upcoming presidential elections.
That's why Trump, who back in the days wasn't very enthusiastic towards Bitcoin (although I wouldn't say he was against it) has now become 100% pro-crypto.
It will be much harder for the Democrats and Biden to bring the crypto crowd on their side, given they were known for being outright hostile to the industry, with special mention to Elizabeth Warren, who, if I remember correctly, even proposed a tax on unrealised crypto-gains, which is insane.

But the Sam screwed FTX, there is no way any politician he has helped will put down his reputation and defend or justify the things he has done. The only way for him is to do jail because even though he is seen outside, he will not be safe, people will come after his life. The best thing is for him to do his time and then perhaps beg for mercy for reduce timing.

FTX aside, politicians are the same and you are only valuable to them in their point of need and once they are done, you are no longer useful until they need another favour from you again.

I think one of the co-owners (or whatever his position was) of the FTX donated also to the Republican party, although not as much as Friedman has donated to Democrats. So they knew they had to bribe both sides to be safe.

I wouldn't advise anyone to put too much trust into Trump, especially knowing he won't be allowed to run again if he wins his 2nd term, so he might not care at all about delivering on his promises.
That being said, "F**k all politicians" attitude won't win you anything. Somebody WILL get elected, like it or not.

Trump crypto is indeed a trending topic, but if he really supports crypto fully as promised by the campaign and then becomes the new president, it will be a brighter new era of crypto.
But if it is only a ride to launch his candidacy, then the community will hate him even more.

But it's better that Biden is also replaced by Trump, because Biden is too rigid and controversial and it's also time to retire.
