What is the best way to have a loyal community back up the project? I get it that there are Airdrops and giveaways and KOLs marketing the projects but I am sure there would be other good ways to market your own project. It would be of great help if I can learn about the methods here

Getting the attention and loyalty of followers is not difficult. However, all you have listed are very much important and as a matter of fact they are amongst the  pioneer force that Stern's quick and fast growth of projects in Crypto space.
OP I would like you to note this, when it comes to dealing with investors and supporters, transparency matters as to being accountable and responsible in dealing with activities as it pertains to the project. Investors always want to get updates likewise supporters. They cherish team being sincere and always updating the community of their development as that would help them keep abreast with the project and also trigger them to  keep pushing forward advertising the project. Have you not noticed that most project die slowly when they are not open to their subjects. Irrespective of what products you have at hand, your community should not be taken for granted if you want to grow.
