A very very good idea. It doesn't really require much neither, a small space and then you promote it online for that nation or at least people who can go visit, and then you just let it be, nothing else is required. Hell you could even tell people they can bring in their own stuff if they want to, its really such a good thing. I have to say it snot going to be just this nation, we are going to see these bitcoin hubs in al l nations, I am sure this isn't even just the first one, I am sure others have tried it. I wish there was one where I live, maybe there is but I haven't heard, it would be nice to gather with other bitcoin people.

Indonesia is known as a crypto-friendly country and its people are very interested in the potential of owning crypto as an asset. As far as I know, crypto cannot yet be used as a substitute for fiat in payments, but crypto trading activities in Indonesia are very active thanks to the existence of a clear legal framework. This has helped Indonesia to be ahead of many countries in the ASEAN region, so I am not too surprised by the existence of Bitcoin House in Bali.

I hope Bitcoin House will become a symbol of financial innovation, promote the popularity of crypto in investment and help BTC gain wider acceptance. When crypto is just an asset class, there will always be winners and losers in the short term in the market, but it also opens up opportunities for blockchain technology to be applied early and bring huge benefits to Indonesia.

I may not be so interested in BTC houses or hubs, but it is a good thing, it shows that the number of people interested in BTC is increasing and that we are on a good path. I do not know a lot about Indonesia, but if i was a visitor to that country, i may be worried about my safety and security after visiting this hub, take note that people wrongly think all bitcoiners are rich, so i hope people, especially foreign visitors won't become a target after visiting this place.

I think the title can be a bit misleading. From what I read, this is a community program dedicated to Bitcoin and crypto education in general. The government does not launch or manage this project[1]. You can use their space to learn, create, do P2P trading, etc. A very useful crypto hub that helps spread Bitcoin or crypto adoption in general. Still a good thing to have, just not as grandiose as some people might think. CMIIW.

What project? In Indonesia we cannot pay for coffee and food with Bitcoin because the government strictly monitors its citizens so that they do not make transactions within the country using currencies other than IDR. So I'm sure, there would be no crypto transactions here if this was an official event.

What I am with Bitcoin Indonesia will only provide education regarding Bitcoin, so people who want to know Bitcoin can go to the Bitcoin House. That's not bad either, considering that this can also increase knowledge for people who are still curious about cryptocurrency and especially Bitcoin. I hope that the government will also start to wake up to several innovations regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the future, so that regulations can start to be a little looser.

I did a quick search if the country has banned the use of cryptocurrency for making payments and here's what I saw on this article:

Indonesia’s central bank has cracked down on the use of cryptocurrencies for making payments. The announcement was made by the bank’s governor Perry Warjiyo during a virtual seminar on June 15.

I think it's pretty obvious that they don't want cryptocurrency to be used in their country as a way of making payments, and I wonder if the Government will do something about this "Bitcoin House Bali" that just opened. Of course, there's a chance that the article that I shared has wrong details in it (hope not). It's a pretty good idea of course to teach other people the benefits of Bitcoin and crypto in general.

People don't have to move on to Bali if their country is Bitcoin friendly they can do their own through their initiative, here in our country we have places like this, but it's not a house it is more of a restaurant or gaming hub.

Countries can set up their Bitcoin like museum or knowledge it will not cost that much and an do done through donations, its good for countries who are in the stage of Bitcoin adoption,the more they see the Bitcoin logo the more the Bitcoin is getting branded and get into the consciousness of the people.

The house does not even look like a real building, but just a 3D model of one.

Yes, Bitcoin or crypto in general is legal in Indonesia, but as a commodity asset, it is not legal or prohibited if used as a means of payment. And various events or crypto activities in Indonesia are growing very rapidly. And the rules for cryptocurrency II also exist and are very clear. So that we as Indonesian citizens already have legal protection regarding this. I didn't even know BTC payments is illegal in Indonesia, i have checked and you are correct, i initially even thought that one would be able to spend BTC on certain things which may be sold in the BTC house, but i was wrong.

Maybe the house is simply to discuss about BTC, how to buy it and store it for long term returns. There is limited info about this BTC house, let's hope there would be more info sometime later.

I do not expect a permanent or a registered address. From what I noticed from the pictures, it's just random places (house/restaurants) where they decide to meet up.

I do not think that the project is governmental, but rather an investment idea for someone who noticed the increase in the number of people interested in Bitcoin, so he started a commercial activity called Bitcoin, which might attract some people to go to that place in order to get to know others or make some deals or other things.
