What got you interested in Bitcoin

People who have been playing in the crypto world for a long time do not necessarily have Bitcoin and this is a fact.
Because I myself have been playing in the crypto world for almost 8 years, this is the first time I have assets in the form of Bitcoin, of course you all know where I got Bitcoin from.
My question :
Do all members on this forum have assets in the form of Bitcoin?

Profit can be made from crypto that's why we play with crypto and invest here and accept payment as bitcoin for many tasks because it has a strong value in the market and its price is constantly increasing. But that doesn't mean we'll always have Bitcoin. We try to make profit because with that money we will manage our life. So many times we have to sell our stored bitcoins in urgent need. Because of this we may not always have Bitcoin holdings in our wallets.I don't always have either.

You have been in crypto for 8 years that's a big number. It's almost shocking to believe that a person who has been in crypto since 2016 has bought BTC for the first time. By the way congratulations on your first purchase. The experience of buying BTC for the first time is always unique because it gives you the feeling that you have done something big or you have become part of something big.

I also earned BTC through signature campaigns and this earning has helped me to fill my bags with some BTC but I was not so wise with my decisions. What I like about BTC is, it gives you the feeling that you have become a part of something big. It looks so volatile but in compared to alts its not. It provides more stability and has power. I won't talk about its technical features.

I'm sure more than 90% of the forum members have Bitcoin asset. Everyone knows Bitcoin should be the priority in crypto asset because it is the most recommended coin and it is the favorite of crypto coin for everyone.

What are the reasons that make you interested in investing in Bitcoin Apart from knowing that the price has increased every year?

It is simple because Bitcoin is like the main coin in crypto world. Bitcoin triggers all coins whether to be pumped or dumped. So, Bitcoin should increase first if crypto market will have bullish. Bitcoin is like the key for crypto market, whether to green or red. Since the role of Bitcoin is very crucial, I think invest in Bitcoin should be the best decision.

The temptation to sell will always be there when we look at profits based on that time, but when we compare the profits we will get now it will be much greater.

But that doesn't matter when we are still making a profit, even though our profits are not as big as they are now. What's more important is when we can still make a profit now by making a purchase and waiting until bitcoin hits ATH.

Never regret a decision to sell because it is part of learning, we have to go through these phases because after all learning takes a process and time. Even though it seems like we are in a hurry to sell coins and we think we have already made a profit, even though we can make big profits if we hold onto them. This usually happens, big profits are the result of a holder's patience.

I don't think regretting is a problem, because for me it is natural for us when we see a profit that is much greater than when we sold it first with a profit at that time.

As long as the feeling of regret doesn't affect us or we feel it too deeply because in my opinion that's not good for the future. Maybe we will think in that direction and no longer commit to what was our target at the beginning.

A person's needs are different and no one knows when we will need it, selling it at a loss and not being able to buy it again when the price drops is not a problem because I am sure that the actions you take are the best for everyone, you are not too late to collect Bitcoin, no matter where you get it, the important thing is that it is the result of your own efforts and does not harm anyone else.

In the past I received notification via email from the website, they gave us directions to make a withdrawal and if the balance was not sufficient for the minimum withdrawal, it could be exchanged for Dogecoin. Later they would convert our Bitcoin balance to Dogecoin. We were asked for a Dogecoin username and address and I tried it but it didn't work out.  now no I haven't received it.
Currently there are no longer websites like that that provide Bitcoin and Dogecoin for free with just the capital of entering every day.

I too have used it and I didn’t get to meet the minimum withdrawal requirements so anything I got from it would immediately stake it in a game - back then my favorite was formula one because there were some impressive odds that would have made me meet the withdrawal limit if I had won it.

Back at the op, the thing that made me more interested in bitcoin was Bitcointalk forum - when I registered at that forum I saw several users who were really knowledgeable about bitcoin and that made me want to do the same or similar thing like them and since then I have been doing research, reading and learning more about bitcoin.

I'm not very good at games like that so all I do is take the daily login bonus so to get Bitcoin up to the minimum withdrawal limit it takes so long that I get bored and start to leave it.
but it's okay, now there is a replacement, even though the price of Bitcoin is now quite expensive, I am still grateful because I have been given the opportunity to own Bitcoin.

I think you are in the wrong place with this post, this is a special board discussing Bitcoin, not discussing trading or exchanges for buying and selling goods or maybe what you mean is that you sell them using Bitcoin payments.

Well, I still have zero Bitcoin, but I have been involved with it for the past 2 years, I think. I know this is not a long time to acquire Bitcoin. We all know Bitcoin has many advantages, but what I love most is its decentralized nature and the lack of government control. Bitcoin is for everyone; every person can benefit. However, those persons who have high investments in Bitcoin also have higher profits compared to those with lesser investments. I like the other benefits that it gives, and the idea that I can hold something outside the control of the government in my country which is not good excited me.

Our traditional banks have really disappointed me a lot, and although it is not possible to completely do away with their services, bitcoin reduced my dependence on them because I can now practice self-custody.

I'll just summarize it into one so it doesn't look like spam
The first time I became acquainted with crypto, all I knew was Dogecoin, after that TRON and started learning about the market from the beginning of getting to know crypto until in 2020 I didn't pay attention to Bitcoin, I thought Bitcoin was the same as other crypto tokens, I didn't think that the price of Bitcoin would change.  So like now I still remember in 2017 a friend of mine gave me advice to start buying Bitcoin, if I'm not mistaken, at that time the price of Bitcoin was under $5k, but I didn't pay attention to what he said until in 2021 I focused on the BSC network playing with new coins.  Until mid 2022 to 2023 I started to get bored with crypto every day just scrolling through TikTok and other social media and in early 2024 I realized that playing on social media was just a waste of time. After that I returned to the world of crypto and started to be active again.

For the fact that I can store my coin for as long as possible and still have  an intrinsic value gain over time is what interest me most in Bitcoin and this made me build a lot of interest in the industry that now pave the way for more research and adoption of Bitcoin to fit into the other areas of my life and still be very ok to hold the amount of Bitcoin that I can afford to lose and still be comfortable with if not Bitcoin, this value elongation for long term based is what hold us down with Bitcoin against holding other altcoins who have short term value.

I bought it in spot and holding it from science then and the passage of time gave me a lot of knowledge about the market and the crypto space, I also used to listen to their talks and this made me interested in Bitcoin. I came to know many terms in the crypto world Like FOMO, and FUD kind of terms, with my research I came to know how I can safe myself from falling prey to many tough conditions of the market. I learned about risk management which is very important role to play for surviving safely in the crypto space.

Though some people use it to hide their stealing funds and launder money. And some people because of the high cost of bitcoin to invest, choose altcoins to invest while some invest in altcoins to make quick money. And those who hide their money there probably politicians because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin.

You have a point people have different reasons why they choose to invest on Bitcoin and in most cases people use it for money laundry as they believe that storing all the money in the bank can be easily noticeable so they use Bitcoin instead, because it will not easily be traceable, which is one of the reasons why most countries stop the use of Bitcoin because of the purpose at which most people are using it for.

Well for me I don't just choose Bitcoin because I believe the price could rise anytime but however as a business man who believe in the future of an asset, I choose Bitcoin because among every other coins Bitcoin is most unique and special from others because in as much as profit could be involved on any investment there is no way someone could choose to invest on altcoins or something that can possibly rug pull but in the case of Bitcoin is very real, so I choose it because is the only investment that can possibly give me what I want.

There is nothing else that will get anyone interested in investing in bitcoin if not curiosity and or the need to make more money.
Personally. I do not fall in the category of those who are playing in crypto and doesnt have bitcoin, I've bought and sold bitcoin thousands of times since 2016 I joined this space.
What I usually do is buy it as investment, and when the price rises, and issue that require money come up, and there is no other place to get they money, I simply sell my bitcoin and sort out the issue, and later when the price of bitcoin is down again, I buy back - it's that simple.

But again, it's not a must we all must hold bitcoin though, does who want can; and those who don't want can also hold whatever they like, or even not hold anything at all.
