You are correct here that based on historical data altcoins do not always correlate to bitcoin, in fact, they go down sometimes when bitcoin goes up. Elements for example the fundamental of every altcoin has a key part to do in the price of that specific altcoin. However, when the altcoin season comes into play, most of them may have a high chance of recording high growth rates.
