Just less than 5 months specifically on November 5, the American people will be electing the next POTUS of the land and with the many developments on the field, we can clearly see that its result will have revibrating and strong impact on the cryptocurrency industry. We already learned that the current Biden administration represented by handsome Gary Gensler  and the Democrats in power are not so friendly on cryptocurrency industry and in fact we have one ugly senator waging war against it. Then here comes Trump who I can sense is starting to see the potential of this industry going beyond his campaign coffers and into helping USA be recognized as the biggest hub of cryptocurrency and blockchain innovations. Of course, political promises remain to be seen if they will come true but without any promise we don't have something to look forward to.

Former United States President Donald Trump is ramping up his advocacy for cryptocurrency, now setting his sights on becoming the “crypto president.”

He made the comment during a fundraising event in San Francisco, co-hosted by Craft Ventures’ general partner, David Sacks, and tech billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya. Trump purportedly affirmed his commitment to cryptocurrency, asserting his readiness to champion the industry’s advancement, while cautioning against the Democratic Party’s purported inclination towards stringent regulations.

The fundraising event proved to be a significant boon for Donald Trump’s promotional efforts, reportedly netting a substantial $12 million in support ahead of the November 5 U.S. presidential election.

We who are not from the US can only observe what is happening there, but we cannot influence it in any way. However, we can have our own opinion about how the current president and his administration are doing in relation to cryptocurrencies - and how Trump and his administration were doing in the period 2016-2020.

I don't see that there was anything worse then than today, although things should always be viewed in the context of the time in which they happen - and accordingly, the pressure from the authorities when BTC was only worth a few hundred or thousands of dollars was not even close to what it is today. All these pressures that go in the direction of attacks on private tools/wallets exist for the reason that they want to prevent the transfer of value to countries/organizations under sanctions.

Maybe Biden looks evil because of that, but Trump would do the same if he were president, and I'm sure he'll do worse things if he has the chance and if the situation demands it.

I personally would not vote for any of them, and I never liked their system of electing the president because it forces a choice between two men who are bad for the country in the current election, regardless of who is elected.

Do not be deceived into thinking that Trump all of a sudden now understands the crypto industry and does not mind aiding in its growth, that is a lie; all of this is just methods of scoring cheap points in the election that's coming.

Do not waste your time on what politicians really say, there is few truth in it. I would not call any of them a 'crypto president', and i don't think any of them will be committed to the crypto cause if elected.

I'm not from US, but I hope that people who are related to cryptocurrency will not fall on this kind of tactic Trump is doing. I believe that Trump is using crypto to increase his chances of winning because he believes that many Gen Z voters are involved into crypto hence, he's using it.

Trump as the Crypto-President? I would rather call the El Salvador President Nayib Bukele as the Crypto-President than him. No offense to Trump, but I will only call him that name if he does something positive about cryptocurrency. Like what others said, don't get deceived by what these politicians are saying because in 10 things that they're saying that they will do if they win, 11 of them aren't true (don't take this seriously ). As for Biden, I don't care about that old guy, and I hope he steps down already.

Well, speaking of how a president is being elected, I've been voted 2x already here in our place, and in those 2, I didn't vote any Mayor here because both of them are known to be corrupt, but in different ways. Both of them are considered evil, but people will just pick the lesser evil between the two.

I'm not a US voter but just an observer but so far Trump is leading Biden by a small margin and since its 5 months to go anything can still happen, if Biden can enhance Trump's  convictions then he may wrestle the lead.

There a lot of conflicting surveys on who really is leading and it will be made clear only when campaign is nearing its end, Trump's policy ob Cryptocurrency is good but he must make it concrete  to sway the vote for his presidential bid, mere talks is not enough.

I'm not US citizen, but i believe people should be cautious to various Trump claim and promise. Trump's previous presidency should be used reference how much he actually support cryptocurrency.

Trump is throwing around promises at a faster rate than the FED is capable of printing checks.

He was anti-crypto, he said that every drug dealer or seller needs to be shut and now he says he will free Ross and make the US rule the crypto world by doing...probably he doesn't even know what he will have to do!
There is a huge difference between being a crypto investor who likes the sound of money and truly being a crypto user, and sometimes the interest of those two persons can turn into completely different laws that the other one might not like at all.
But after Trump broke 2/3 of his promises last time I don't see how anyone can put his hopes on those!

Considering I am an american, of course it would be nice to see a crypto utopia but if that's going to come with the rest of the country going to the shitter then I don't want it. Biden can tank crypto price with his anti-crypto policies if he wants and they can stroke FUD, but it will just give me more time to buy the dip.

I always vote for the lesser evil, but sometimes I just go to the polls and draw a big x on the ballot - which means I don't support anyone. However, the system in the EU (at least as far as my country is concerned) is far fairer because anyone who collects a certain number of signatures from citizens can be a presidential candidate.

Of course, there are always very cartoonish characters who just make fun of the system and are not serious, but when the system offers you only two choices, it's not really a democracy, is it?

Honestly I think it's not right to say Biden is anti-crypto I mean what anti crypto act he did till now? ETFs got approved in his era, not in Trump's era. Biden was the first person in whose government crypto got wise adoption and the way is already streamlined. Now all we are seeing from Biden and Gary is a strict set of rules for platforms to follow in order to give their services to US citizens.

There main goal is to minimize the fraud and scam rate by forcing them to comply with regulations and IMO that's a good thing even if its against the decentralization factor of BTC and it moving things towards centralization but still this step is needed so I don't think Trump is going to make any big difference although he will definitely use crypto as a ladder to get on top in elections.

I am not a US citizen, but I prefer Trump to be the next president. Biden is just a president who should be retired and he can do nothing but just damage the market and provide short-sighted regulation of crypto.

Trump has a clearer view of crypto and he understands what is being talked about and he promises about crypto.
Smart people will just vote for Trump and leave the Biden administration bad and full of rules that shouldn't be passed.
It is controversial and does not make the US any better.

If I had to choose of course I would choose the guy who supports Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, even though I don't trust either Biden or Trump but Trump remains the best hope for cryptocurrencies.

In his latest statements, Trump pledged, in a speech he delivered in Washington, D.C., to protect the self-custody rights of 50 million cryptocurrency holders. This is a clear indication that he is interested in obtaining the votes of these 50 million, which will inevitably have an impact on the election results.

Also, Trump said that he wants to manufacture all the remaining Bitcoin currencies in the United States. I smelled the disgusting scent of centralization from this statement, and I fear that there are hidden intentions that are not becoming clear now.

This is no proof that he is pro-crypto, politicians are populists who do everything possible to win power - should we just forget what the same man said in the past and how he was pro-crypto when he was president?

Former US President Donald Trump has told Fox Business that he sees Bitcoin as a "scam" affecting the value of the US dollar.
"Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam," Mr Trump said. "I don't like it because it's another currency competing against the dollar."
He added that he wanted the dollar to be "the currency of the world".
His comments come on the back of news El Salvador plans to make the crypto-currency legal tender.

Biden or Trump or anyone else will always be against BTC, the only thing they will accept are donations or fully centralized cryptocurrencies that they can control. He still believes what he said, now he's just pretending to play a song he enjoys, but if that means he's getting the support of the crypto community, then he'll keep playing as they want.
