After the delay of their undisputed light-heavyweight fight because of Beterbiev's injury, they have rescheduled their fight to October 12, 2024. Hopefully, the fight will happen so we can finally see who is the best and greatest light-heavyweight Champion in this generation.

Artur Beterbiev is set to square off against Dmitry Bivol on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh.

The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds in the Light Heavyweight division, which means the weight limit will be 175 pounds (12.5 stone or 79.4 kg).

This contest is for the undisputed light heavyweight championship of the world, with the The Ring, WBC, IBF, and WBO belts on the line.

Yeah, the boxing community is really looking forward to this fight as to know who really is the greatest in the Light Heavyweight category. Personally, it is very hard to predict on who will win this fight, is it the younger champion or the older but the heavy-handed one? Those questions will be answered come October and i'm hoping that there will be no more postponement as Beterbiev is getting older be the day.

The only thing that is a disadvantage for Bivol is his defense which is open while Beterbiev is his age and injury as we all know they are both having the same goal to win the fight and both are power puncher and knockout artist so this fight would be very exciting. These two Russians are monsters when it comes to boxing especially on their division based on what I saw on their previous matches but with Bivol he is having a hard time knocking out Canelo and only win on unanimous decision very interesting.

Since the Crawford-Spence and the Fury-Wilder fights, this is the one that I'm waiting for quite a while.

It's a battle of speed and power. Beterbiev as we all know has a 100% Knock Out rate, and that's what makes him dangerous because that record alone is enough proof that he has a very powerful punch. As per his highlights on YouTube, he isn't throwing that many punches but when he throws, it has a lot of power. On the other hand, Bivol is quicker than him, and... that's it. I can't say anything with regards to him because Beterbiev for me is better in most of the aspects.

If this will happen with no injuries hindering whatsoever, this fight can be a candidate for the "Fight of the Year" alongside the Fury-Usyk 1 & 2. As per my predictions, I will go with Beterbiev with this one, but this might be the time where his 100% Knockout rate will become 96% because I doubt that he can knock Bivol down. We all know that as we grow old for boxers, they might take the toll and probably this what happen to Beterbiev as he try to push himself in training but then his body responded differently.

But in any case, still a good fight and fans are waiting for it. We haven't seen for a long time a unification fight in LHW. And then we have David Benavidez who says that he wants to challenge the winner here.

I can't imagine a scenario when he fails to knock out Bivol and still wins if the fight goes to distance. Bivol is just too technical for that to happen.

I do agree, maybe this will be the first time that Beterbiev will not score a TKO/KO win against his opponent. Bivol is too big as well and has the reach advantage and throws a bunch of punches in volume that might throw off Beterbiev and can't counter with his power. And that is the secret of Bivol when he beat Canelo, he did throw a lot of hands on Alvarez and before Canelo can counter Bivol is already out of range.

And Beterbiev has a history of starting slow in his fight and then try to catch up in the latter rounds and solely depend on his power. But we will see how he will do if he can't connect to Bivol and then Bivol using his ring IQ and technical skills to outmanuevered Beterbiev and the fight going into the judges score card.

I've watched some predictions coming from different fighters, and analysts in YouTube, and it's pretty much even.
I mean some are rooting for Beterbiev, and some are rooting for Bivol.

This is one of those fights that you will not know who the winner will be just by looking at their past fights and records alone. It's hard to know who the winner on will be this one. One fighter is one of the best when it comes to power punches while the other is one of the best in defensive tactics, and jabs as well. Like what you said though, Bivol is as fresh as we saw against Zinad and Beterbiev's age is coping up as he gets more injured (just like what happened that cause postponement).

Either way, I consider this fight a "fight of the year" candidate already.
