And Beterbiev won the fight, in a split decision, unifying all the belts at Light Heavyweight, scores were 116-112 (Pawel Kardyni), 115-113 (Glenn Feldman) and 114-114 (Manuel Oliver Palomo).

But for me it could have gone either way, I do not see Beterbiev getting Bivol in trouble. So this fight ends in a controversial win by Beterbiev.

Not sure how you guys see this fight, it could also be a draw, in my opinion. Although I have Bivol winning here, and I have heard in some boxing forum that Bivol was robbed here.

I mentioned some time ago that betting on Beterbiev winning by decision could be a good idea, as the odds were something around 7.0 (iirc), I wish I followed up with making such bet, but oh well...

Anyhow, I'm not going to pretend I'm good at round scoring, so will withhold from judging if the decision was fair or not, but I thought Bivol did enough to have his hand raised.

I want to put my bet on Bivol, but on the final minute before I sleep, I put my bet on Beterbiev and also, putting my bet that it will last above 10.5 rounds which is obviously the case.

TBH, it's very risky to put a bet on Beterbiev winning by decision knowing that anybody can win on this fight. Well, most of those who had time to watch the full fight is saying that Bivol got robbed which might be the case. What's joke to me is the 116-112 score on one of the judges, and TBH, I thought for a second that this will end up in a split draw but nevertheless, Beterbiev still deserves that win and because of this, a trilogy might be born.

Immediate rematch will happen next year, and for sure, many fans are waiting for it. Well, it's a history in the making for Beterbiev as he's the first boxer to unify the 4 belts on Light Heavyweight division.

One of which is the fact that even though he lost, Bivol has broken Beterbiev's streak of winning by KO/TKO. Some even suggests that Beterbiev didn't KO Bivol intentionally because he doesn't want to destroy the next king of the division.

Based on my observation, Bivol won the fight by two rounds but the judges have it differently the boxing community are in agreement that there should be a rematch because Bivol won the fight, which is why His Highness Turki is planning a rematch because he honestly believe that Bivol won the fight by two rounds, so now we will wait for the official announcement of The rematch

Nah, I do not think that he intentionally not wanting to knock Bivol out, it's that he can't. And as you can see even up to this day, many are still disgusted of the results, specially that one judges who had Beterbiev winning by 4 points.

And so there are clamour for this judges to be ban from scoring this kind of big fights.

Considering the fight was well-viewed on PPV and likely profitable for HE Turki, organizing a rematch to settle the controversy might be a good idea.

Either way, a rematch is likely to happen if Bivol win the fight There's still going to be a rematch and possibly a trilogy if both fighter have it even on their second match, the match is great and worthy of an encore I'm sure the organizations will choose better judges for this fight because the way many have seen the fight there's lack of fairness in scoring.

Here are the statistics of the total punches thrown and landed for each of them. These seem to be the most quoted ones, so hopefully the most accurate, but I've seen some post-fight video analysis quoting significantly different figures, so who knows.

Either way, it looks like Artur managed to convince judges with the volume alone rather than accuracy. I believe good defence should have been counted in Bivol's favour but it doesn't look like that was the case in this fight.

I do agree, the best is that it should be at least a draw, but that judges favor Beterbiev by 4 points so it looks like very fish to me. But the defense argument, yes, it's really hard to score and it's how the judges see the fight. However, even for a untrained eye, it's easy to see who is going to win every round here. WE all know that judges job are very hard, but sometimes, they shouldn't make things complicated on them. Just watch the fight without bias and they can see who is the rightful winner or it could be just a draw as there are not clear winner as the fight is very close.

A similar could be said about Beterbiev, who openly expressed his disappointment with his own performance and with how the fight went down. That's a true sportsmanship.

Both have already said they'd be willing to fight an immediate rematch and frankly, that's the only sensible option in terms of both, the sport challenge and the money.

Eddie Hearn is always been like that, so many of his wards are losing All he wants is to complain, although on this one he had a valid complaint, These two fighters are real fighters they will say no to the boxing community, I wish all boxers are like that so we can excited matches like this.
Honestly, after the Beterbiev win, I like to see him fight Canelo but the call for a rematch is strong and his highness Turki already made an announcement that he wants a rematch so we will have a rematch.
And I believe it will be better than the first one.
