Why I can't create a post with external link?

Created my first post under section Referral Links. Do I need certain points / Karma in order to have post with external link? Many thanks!

You created an account and your first objective is to post ref link Anyway, it's a restriction imposed by admin for newbies to mitigate the spread of spam in the forum. What you need to do is to stay active here to increase your rank. That can be achieved easily by making good posts.

If it is urgent to display the link, try joining Copper membership or Express rank.

Thanks Zed0X! Figured out, newbie need to make at least 5 posts in order to unlock external link in post.

So now you have to make 5 unwanted posts in order to share the referral link haha. I would say focus on your account health as well. I mean if you really want to share airdrops links then you must want other members to join them as well. So for that you might want to build some trust as well. So that's why I said focus on your account like be active, contribute as much as you can.

I think making 5 posts is way easier and a reliable way than buying the copper membership although its a good option as it provide other features as well and it will be a big contribution to the forum funds as well. But I don't think OP is going to follow this path.

Express rank is another option if the OP wants more features before time.

As far as I know, copper membership on Altcoinstalks is generally aimed more at developers or campaign managers who have just registered on this forum to get features such as being able to include links or other features that are urgent to be displayed in their posts.

However, it does not rule out the possibility if the OP want to join the membership.

It would make more sense to me that instead of 5 posts, you should get 5 +karma to be able to do some things on the forum, such as posting links. It's not too big of an obstacle either, but it still requires a little use of the brain to achieve the goal.

It would also stop many users who just want to chill projects or use AI to rank up...

Real users can easily get 5 karma.

Yes that is all about. You have to be active and posting and solved the mathematics for all the 5 posts and Op should know that it is not all the boards he can post but only for few.

A unique honest user who has good intentions will certainly have no problem getting 5+ positive karma, but I have noticed that this task is not too difficult even for those who do not have very honorable intentions. Considering that Senior rank+ users have an unlimited possibility of allocating karma, all an alt farm needs is one such account.

Until we get a feature that will show which post got +/- karma abuse will be possible.

Opening Karma logs will expose a lot of alt accounts and alt farms. This is a must imo opinion.  Good point to tell @admin

The good news is that he is already working on it (if I understood correctly), and that sooner or later this feature will appear on the forum. I expressed my doubt about the possible karma abuse in the case of BG shills, because it was hard for me to believe that such spammers could get +karma from anyone other than some Senior+ account they control.

Yes you are right, I also have seen only campaign managers or project owners buying membership as they needed to share images, and have to use other features that require them to buy the membership as they can't rank first due to lack of time. And yeah, they are not the only ones allowed to buy the membership as OP and other members can also buy it.

I think express rank is a bit expensive for normal members who are here to spam (No offense I am only talking about those who want to spam) and for those who just want to spend some time learning things. Paying $30 in ETH is a little expensive, that's why campaign owners are the ones buying it, as they can afford it.

This is made in other to avoid spammers flooding the forum will their shilling posts and the likes, if you think you have a serious business or offer to make, wait and be patient by achieving the required status that permits for that, or afford buying for yourself a membership rank in other to post a link, but i still wonder how hasty one can be without managing to make at least five posts before he could post a link, aren't we going to contribute to the forum in any way?.

You are still in 1st step with only 4 activities. You still have a long way to go. And you are still solving the captcha so posting external link is still far from you. Continue posting until you are Member or above. Though I don't know the particular rank before a newbie can post link but if your want to advertise a project or you have a project to share which is important then you have to buy copper membership that will allow you to benefit some of the things in the forum.
