Wow.. this surprises me, coaching the most powerful country in the world. How does this guy keep getting jobs?
Managing a national team is always an upgrade. The US has young players playing in some of Europe's best leagues.
And Poch will bring tactical expertise and passion for developing young talent

Actually I have no problem, when Erik Ten Hag still believes in himself for example, as long as Erik Ten Hag's decision has a clear reason. Now I see no reason, especially if the reason is because Antony played well for example.

But of course we can only speculate here because all decisions are in their hands. What I worry about is when they make decisions based on closeness or anything that has nothing to do with football.

Not really sure what your point is actually but i think Ten Hag still believes in Antony and that why he still wants to get hold of him for a while, he knows what he is capable of and maybe some day he will be able to bring Antony back to life. I still think Antony will one day just leave the club because of the backlash from the fans and media about his poor form.

I understand that maybe the coach thinks like that, but I see there are other reasons behind it all. I don't mean to accuse Erik ten Hag of doing that because he has influence over the team's decisions, but what he did with Manchester United forced me to think like that.

Whatever it is, I hope they can be better in the future, they have been in a bad situation for too long, while they are one of the big teams in the Premier League and in Europe.

US did the right way by choosing Mauricio Pochettino. He is a good coach, he has many experiences managing big teams. I'm sure he will succeed to manage US men national team. However, I'm quite surprised that he is quite fast managing a national team. I guessed he will manage another big teams but he finally decided to manage US national team. It is not a bad decision but I just think it is quite fast. Good luck for Mauricio Pochettino..

He has a good portfolio, and although some people may consider his time in Chelsea as a failure, there are others who see his time in Chelsea as good and that Chelsea management did not give him enough time to fix the team. He will have the time to work on the team and find some local talents to bring to the National team. His appointment comes early. So we expect him to be ready when it is time to show workings.

And of course, Pochettino's close relationship with USSF Sporting Director Matt Crocker is another factor that cannot be ignored.
Matt Crocker was Southampton's technical director during Pochettino's one season in charge in 2013-14, and their relationship is excellent.

After the humiliating exit from the 2024 Copa America on home soil in July, the USSF is keen to recruit a world-class coach to ensure the USMNT excels at the 2026 World Cup, which they are co-hosting with Canada and Mexico. And Pochettino’s agreement to take on the role is a major coup for the USSF.

That’s a great one he got there and I hope he do as much as it’s expected from him. Since his sack at Chelsea, I have seen that he hasn’t gotten any job not until now. The United States National Team are not that good in my opinion when it comes to global football and they need a good coach to see them through. Mauricio Pochettino is an experienced coach and I’m sure his presence in the national team will bring a lot of success for them in the upcoming World Cup. They need to start now and continue to improve gradually before the World Cup kicks off in some years time.

Pochettino as new US manager?, Well I am not sure of how well he will perform seeing his results while he was in Chelsea. I don't think that the united state will sign a manager just because he has managed different clubs. They might choose to go for someone we don't even know. But regardless, I think they are some promising talents that really needs to play under a good manager. I have always followed some of their matches. The world cup is fast approaching, so they need to act fast. But I'm not even sure of how far they will go in the tournament. Wish them the best.

Congratulations to Pochettino for finding another job after his sack as Chelsea coach. The sack of him from Chelsea has brought him to the limelight to coach the USA national team with a $6 million salary annually. That's beautiful.

I trust Pochettino to build the USA team to a better team than it was and to be part of the host of the next World Cup with good performance coming from them. However, it's a long way for Pochettino to put the USA squad in order before the World Cup starts by 2026.

Its become first experience for Pochettino as national team manager because previously he only club manager from Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, PSG and last teams Chelsea.
Pochettino have huge pressure for his position because must success make US get qualify to higher round on World Cup 2026 because US as the host.
One month later when international break, we can see his appearance with national team will success give the victory or he need time get adapt well because the first time as national team manager in his career.
