Good initiative, i am sure it will come at a cost, and the crazy thing is that it is still not enough to protect the people who don't verify services before using. Surely RoyalMix cannot buy all similar domains, so users also have to help themselves avoid cloned and phishing websites, the mixer can only try its best, but bulk of the responsibility is on the users.

I hope that this will not relax the users too much, so they will think that every royalmix domain is owned by the original Royalmix creators. A large number of registered domains requires more maintenance (especially if more than one registrar is used). Once one of them is not renewed, it opens a potentially more dangerous hole.

I hope not too, i know people are very lazy, even in things that they shouldn't be. But we hope people show more reponsibility in protecting themselves and their funds, the BTC network in itself is not centralized, and i expect a large number of people to know the axiom: 'don't trust, verify'.

I just visited godaddy website searching for all domains with Royalmix and I found many of them available for purchase.
Scammers have their dirty tricks in replacing one or two letters so they have limitless number of combinations.

They’ll just have to watch out for those that won’t direct them to “royal mix.io” - if they click on any site and it stays there without redirecting, then it should be treated as phishing link but if it takes them to the official site then no problem.

It shouldn’t be a big problem for those that have already developed the habit of cross checking the url of a site before using it.

Is the responsibility of internet user to protect themselves and for sure the mixer can try their best to block every possible means that scammers can use to gain access user and scamming them off thehard earn money, but the efforts of the team are as good as the complement of the efforts of the user also, trying to stay up to date with the necessary information and taking extra security steps always place us ahead of the scammers.

That is smart of them to actually buy more domain names in other to reduce website cloning and scam, using a similar. Now the risk of entering the wrong address has been limited and if anyone paraventure fall into scam, then they are to be blamed for their carelessness, having bought 50 domain name, it's obvious they care about their reputation and are concerned with user security and experience. A big thumbs up to Royalmix, they never seize to amaze me. It's also good knowing that the fees has been reduced, fees are another factor to consider when choosing a mixer and the fees are absolutely affordable.

A small update... Since cases of phishing attempts by copying the RoyalMix website have become more frequent, the Royal team decided to purchase consonant, similar domain names (and redirected to the original website). ROYALMIX.IO

Wow that's good I love the idea from royalmix because is a good way to eradicate scammers from duplicating the royalmix domain because scammers go the extreme in making sure they look for a way to scam people because not just on royalmix but also in most of the mixers, so is a good thing royalmix has been able to identify those loopholes and eradicate it, however one of the measure I like about there domain development is that after clicking on it it takes the users directly to their main website, so it makes it more easier for users to identify if they are on the right domain or not, so perhaps anybody who click on the link and it takes the person elsewhere the person should no that is not  the appropriate link.

The threat has not been eradicated, for something to be eradicated, it has been destroyed completely. The threat has only been reduced, which is a very good thing. There are still other similar domain names out there that can be purchased by illicit dealers, so everyone should remain vigilant.

I raise this point so people don't relax and believe the threat has been 'eradicated', that is when they will make themselves easy victims.

They should add warning for customers on their website to be careful, and a list of other domains their own for everyone to see easy.

It is impossible to stop all scammers from doing this, but it is good that RoyalMix team decided to do the best they can with purchasing other domain names.

One thing very and always certain is that scammer will always find a way to try to carry out their scam activities, and as business, trying to buy out as many domains as they are that are related or resembles your original business domain off the market to keep scammer away from utilizing it to scam you off your prospective customers isn't really an end solution to the problem.

A better and more cost effective solution I would say is that, businesses should devote time and some dedication to always posting and educating users and potential users of the dangers of accessing their service from a phishing/fake website, people should never search out and try to access websites through google or any other search engine, but better still is to get the original social media handle of the service of business, and get the website link from there, this i think is always safer, specially when visiting a site for the very first time before it's bookmarked.

Scammers can come with such ideas because they try their best to trap the Royalmix users and that's why they can make domains in that way too or might add dashes in between letters like Royal-mix. TLD as that's also possible but still I believe it will be a great step by RoyalMix to buy all good and top TLDs as those can be easily used to trick the users.

Yeah you are right and I also understand your point but however the reason why I feel the threats has been eradicated is that the Royalmix team has been able to develop a domain that will never be the same as any other similar domain that could be purchased by any illicit dealer because the difference is the redirection when you click on the link and it takes you to the main website, so perhaps a user should be able to identify between those domain, well just like you said no matter anything we should be very vigilant.
