Yeah you are right and I also understand your point but however the reason why I feel the threats has been eradicated is that the Royalmix team has been able to develop a domain that will never be the same as any other similar domain that could be purchased by any illicit dealer because the difference is the redirection when you click on the link and it takes you to the main website, so perhaps a user should be able to identify between those domain, well just like you said no matter anything we should be very vigilant.

I don't think you fully understand what RoyalMix has done here, they have purchased ~ 50 similar domain names, and if you click on any of these purchased domain names, it will redirect you to the original mixer website.

However, there are still other similar domain names out there that have not been purchased by RoyalMix. Take note of the cost involved here, so you see it is not possible for them to purchase it all and so the threat has not be eradicated, only reduced, so people should still stay vigilant. Don't trust, verify.

A better and more cost effective solution I would say is that, businesses should devote time and some dedication to always posting and educating users and potential users of the dangers of accessing their service from a phishing/fake website, people should never search out and try to access websites through google or any other search engine, but better still is to get the original social media handle of the service of business, and get the website link from there, this i think is always safer, specially when visiting a site for the very first time before it's bookmarked.

They can try to educate forum members or create a special blog page on their website to help this, but I think most people get scammed are finding mixing websites using google.

Given that Royalmix has started a fight against phishing, I would suggest another change, which will warn users to check if they are using the right domain.
For example, before moving to the mixing page, the user must click to verify a checkbox that warns him to check the URL in the browser and whether he is on the right page. It will certainly not be in the interest of impersonators and phishing sites to copy this part.

I think so too, some people want to mix their coins and they simply search on google, and that can lead them to a phishing website, of course people who are going to access RoyalMix through this forum will surely land in the correct website.

I don't think they are on X, the only social media platform i think they are on is Telegram.

This is called teamwork and this how the team should work as we all are helping the Royalmix to find any website mistakes, bugs even if they are in their codes, and changing of words on the site, now here we get another good update from the boss icopress where the team have reduced the fee, another one as team have bought 50 plus domains so that the community stay safe from scammers.

This is also called their dedication to the services. Buying 50-plus domains proves their dedication to Royalmix and it also proves that it is here to stay forever and will be the most used mixer because of the reduction in the fee. Buying all these domains for just safety and proving longness is a hint that its have the best team and that all the users are safe while using it.

A small update... Since cases of phishing attempts by copying the RoyalMix website have become more frequent, the Royal team decided to purchase consonant, similar domain names (and redirected to the original website). ROYALMIX.IO

Suggestion: I think it's ok to redirect, but maybe this is also an opportunity to educate their users on checking domains and which ones are legit. The user goes to royalmiix.io (two "I"), he is redirected and mixes his coins successfully, he thinks he did nothing wrong because... well, nothing went wrong. When in fact, a scammer could have owned that domain and he would be rekt.

Maybe add a banner saying that royalmix bought that domain to prevent scammers from impersonating them, but only the .io domain is the "official" one.

Good suggestion, i agree with you. Customers who get redirected from any of these bought domains may think they did absolutely nothing wrong, until they enter a phishing domain that has not been bought by the team. I don't know how much work or expenses it would cost to implement what you have suggested, but if it is not too much, then i also recommend it.

Fight against scammers and protection against phishing is not an easy battle to have, so it is better to have more options for protection and education.
But scammers can create the same checkbox warning and replace address with their own that is malicious.
Websites that have list of all mixers should add some information how to protect against phishing attacks.

If user visit Royalmix not using official domain, then they will be greeted with warning page first. All alternate domain pages can be redirected to warning page through DNS setting.

The problem is, won’t those scammer be able to replicate the same thing? Like putting up a banner in this site and then instead of putting the official “.io” domain they’ll put their own phishing link?

Indeed this is so true buddy as we know that these fraudsters keep changing their ways to scam users in the market as when they come to know about the implementation of new technologies, they start to make another way for their easiness so that they can do more scams with people and we all know that sometimes real things looks too legit in the crypto space so here one has to think before making any of his/her action on any task.

Besides this, buddy I can see at the ending line of your post that you suggest something to the royalmix team. Do you mean to say, adding another page to educate users on how they can stay away from these scammers so that they can make sure of those transactions they had made were fine? if that is so, in my view, this can be a good implementation. additionally, this can help users to educate themselves about the fraudulent activities of the scammers.
