The competition is already on its way; it started on June 20th and will go on until July 14th. The competition this season is hosted by the United States. The defending champions, Argentina have started well with a win over Canada in group A.

Which team are you expecting to win this competition this time around? Argentina or Brazil?

I'm rooting for Argentina. I see Argentina as a better and coordinated team than Brazil. Brazil has the squad no doubt but there team play is not on an A-level. I have watched both teams play and I will tell you that Brazil is still struggling to find it's rhythm.

One underrated team that can still win the competition is Uruguay; they are at the top of their group with the convincing 3-1 win they had against Panama, with Darwin Nunez scoring in that game.

It might be too early to say Brazil are looking rather very great tonight, especially due to how much of an underdog their opponent are consider to be, even just on paper, but Brazil have looked really full of life in this match, they've dominated the match for the entire first 45 minutes against Costa Rica. I think Brazil might have what it takes this time around to go very deep into the tournament, or possibly even winning, but as I've said, it's just the first game and there is still a long way to go. Despite failing to score in the first half, I think they should still win this match with some relative ease, although Costa Rica are defending pretty well, having more than 70% of their players behind the ball at all times whenever Brazil is in possession of the ball.

I feel like Panama was playing dirty and aggressive in todays match vs USA. I don't think that USA was expected to win the game, but some pretty rough play by Panama made it really hard for the USA to build any momentum.
