I actually consider this to be a very lenient plea deal with the US government all maybe because unlike cases like that of Silk Road and even compared to FTX there is no money lost and there are no other complainants except the government. Plus, of course, maybe DOJ realized that it would just be a waste of time and resources going after a man who is not actually armed and dangerous. Now, there are many things Julian Assange can do like publish his own memoirs of his 12-year saga which can even be adopted into a movie where he can earn millions for the rights, go on a nationwide speech lectures sharing his story and the things he learned along the way and he can also start his own cryptocurrency project to be called as LEAKCOIN which will surely be big hit (just kidding on the last one). Surely, there are a lot of things he can do to capitalize on his adventure where can be making big bucks. For now, he can finally enjoy peace of mind in he presence of the people he love and can finally play with his cute dog (does he got one?).
Earning money is the essential part for everyone to stay up-to-date and alive in society. So that's an obvious thing along with most of the other obvious things like eating good food, taking a bath, sleeping, etc. etc. I think what ABC wanted to ask is what would be his mission or purpose in life now. There are two paths I think he would follow.
One is to live a simple life with no publicity, and as he accepts his crimes, he might choose to live a simple life with his 5 and 7-year-old children plus with his wife. He has a family. Second, is, that he might get his hands involved in the new cases but it won't be that easy now as everyone or at least authorities would be monitoring him closely so I doubt he would be able to choose 2nd option. BTW I liked the third option haha.
