Trump's Official Republican Platform Pledges to Halt Crypto 'Crackdown'

Former President Donald Trump's Republican Party has officially adopted a platform that would seek to support cryptocurrency innovation, according to the document released Monday by the Republican National Committee.

"Republicans will end Democrats’ unlawful and unAmerican Crypto crackdown and oppose the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency," according to the document. "We will defend the right to mine Bitcoin, and ensure every American has the right to self-custody of their Digital Assets, and transact free from Government Surveillance and Control."

Trump flipped his earlier suspicion of cryptocurrency into staunch support. He's also had some personal experience with digital assets, having launched several of his own sets of branded non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Trump's campaign and an affiliated political action committee also accept crypto donations.

While Joe Biden is fighting right now to remain as the Democrat's presidential nominee in the coming November 5 election as his own party is now in disarray with some big wigs calling for him to go away and let someone else take the party against Donald Trump because he is clearly showing many signs of dementia and is very fragile and may not be able to survive the next four years if elected, the camp of Trump has remained silent on many issues and letting his opponent destroy himself in the public. And it is good to hear an assurance from his political party that they will look hard and change the course of cryptocurrency treatment that Biden's SEC launched against the industry since coming into office. Though this can still be considered as pandering to gain more votes, the most important thing is that we are seeing a clear policy away from what the Biden administration and party are doing for the industry...it is time for change and we could not get that under the current aging and frail presidency.

I think it's very obvious that Trump wanted to turn out to be pro-crypto President and that's why they included it in their official platform as they know that it could be one of the biggest issues that the Dems did and it really scorn a lot of Americans because we all know that crypto is huge in the US.

So make sense for Trump to used it to sway voters on his end and it could really be very effective for him and his party. And again, if you are a American and has been with crypto for a long time, you might want to have a pro-crypto President. But the question, will Trump remains true to his word after getting re-elected?

This part is very interesting and I will eagerly await for such a thing to happen. I am certain that Trump will return as a President but going against the deep state last time led to him losing as a President. This time if the deep state does not interfere then he should become the President but he would not be able to do what he has been promising before the election. We all know politicians are known for lying and fake promises which I suspect is again happening.

I'm not sure how it goes in the US, but in my country, almost every election promise failed to materialize any significant program for various reasons. On the other hand, the other choice is not that great either. If no other options arise, it's probably better to prepare for the worst possible outcome. I mean his track record shows that he can easily switch sides as long as it benefits him. Who knows, maybe Trump just likes to produce more NFTs and he doesn't want to get jailed for that.

Article writing style is more political than objective. It is a promotion for the Trump campaign, although I do not think much will change, especially since the United States has one policy towards all financial matters and the dominance of the dollar. Therefore, we will move from worst to bad, or vice versa.

This part is very interesting and I will eagerly await for such a thing to happen. This looks more like a quote from a fairy tale than something that could ever become reality. A country that fights by all means for absolute control over every individual clothed will allow everyone to use anonymous transactions?

I would spice it up a bit more, not only will it all come true, but Trump will free Ross Ulbricht and help him restart Silk Road - because everyone has the right to buy drugs and firearms anonymously, right?
