Trump Prepares for Bitcoin Event as Price Stands at $57,500

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been announced as a speaker at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, one of the world’s largest Bitcoin events, taking place from July 25 to 27.

In recent months, the Republican presidential candidate has expressed strong support for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Last month, Trump stated at an event in Mar-a-Lago that he would endorse Bitcoin mining if he were to become president. In May, he began accepting political donations in cryptocurrency. His support has garnered backing from prominent figures in the crypto space, such as Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood.

Other U.S. politicians will also be speaking at Bitcoin 2024, including presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, and Republican Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn.

Right now, we can say that the cryptocurrency industry is leaning more towards the candidacy of Donald Trump and away from the influence of the current POTUS the aging, frail and demented Joe Biden. We know the many things the Biden administration unleashed on the cryptocurrency industry and its many players...and I am sure Donald Trump and his team is aware of this fact so they are making sure that things would be on the opposite once he would be on the White House in 2025. Candidates are like this they target what they think will give them numbers and the Crypto has substantial numbers but of course, Trump must not rely on the Cryptocurrency alone, there are other issues that he must address to keep his momentum going.

I mean he's promoting Bitcoin and said many things about it. Well, if he wins, that might have an impact towards the price of Bitcoin since he won. TBH, there are many things that can be a catalyst for the upcoming bull run, but a presidential candidate being the catalyst is somewhat I can't imagine. I guess investors are intelligent enough not to fall to this.

It is what it is. We can hate how Trump is campaigning himself, but he has the power to do it, and I don't blame him for doing it. Heck, I don't even care if he uses Bitcoin to make himself more popular. At the end of the day, it will be a win for us because it adds exposure to the public. Maybe we can make a thread regarding US elections in general at one of the boards since there have been many topics regarding Trump and BTC just this week alone.

^^ I don't think that Donald Trump will be the catalyst though for this bull run. We will have this run with or without his support. It's that his team really knows how to magnified everything and put all attention to Trump specially that crypto is a hot topic and obviously he is using it as a platform for him being re-elected.

Anyhow, the price is not affected by this news, on the contrary, we see the market going down in the last 24 hours and perhaps pro-Bitcoin US citizens are not going to be influenced by him attending this event.

Of course, this is a presidential campaign and all candidates would do everything they can to get the votes to win. What would you expect? Nobody wants to lose...every candidates want to be declared as winners if only it is possible. So you might be wondering why is Trump getting more limelight than Biden when we talk in relation to the cryptocurrency industry in this election cycle? Simple: Trump is reaching out while Biden is not. And Biden is not reaching to the cryptocurrency community all because the Biden camp is aware of the many bad things the administration is doing to this industry...they must be ashamed. In fact, I can sense that the crypto community is a little bit hostile to the Biden administration as we witnessed the lawfare launched by SEC for the past years. And this kind of lawfare was not evident on Trump's first term. Yes, Trump seemed to not like Bitcoin at the time when even him failed to fully grasp the significance of it but his SEC and other regulatory bodies never filed many cases against players of the industry. And I don't think these people are really looking at Trump as like a savior but they are just comparing the two contenders - between Biden and Trump there is only one better choice. They just want a better treatment from SEC and the government so this industry can grow and not be stifled by regulators. Anyway, Biden may not even be the official candidate of Democrats if those within his own party pushing for him to set aside would come into fruition.

Yes, well said everyone even outside of America will be affected at the end of this. But what I have point of view about this is that Trump is just taking advantage of Bitcoin's power and its lover he knows that how strong the community of Bitcoin and he knows big money is also involved in it and he is just using it for coming into the power so that he can become America president.

What matters here? how will he behave/treat with Bitcoin after coming into the power so we will see the results accordingly and the market will also move accordingly. If he will be treated according to his current words, and statements, then surely the market can perform well after he will be elected as president so dear just opinion from my side is that do not make so many hopes with this as it is politics and you also know that politics is far away from the real world if you know what I mean to say. I am not from the U.S, so i do not even care who it seems is leading the race, Biden looks senile and not fit to run for presidency, while Trump is a convicted felon and tells a lot of lies. What bothers me is how crypto people really believe that Trump is now pro BTC and things will change for the industry if he is elected. I don't see the U.S changing from their strict regulations of crypto and anti privacy stance, even if Trump is elected or Biden.

Lots of news about Trump and Bitcoin. Having all this new news about Trump and his endorsement of Bitcoin worries me and makes me fear it's just an election bubble.

It seems that Trump wants to benefit from the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community in his election campaign, and in return, the cryptocurrency community hopes that he can attract Trump and obtain a more open environment for the cryptocurrency industry if Trump wins the elections.

A legitimate mutual interest because the two need each other at the moment. All we can say is that we hope Trump fulfills his many promises.

there is a chance that he might be able to fulfill a few of his promise after all he is benefiting in this crypto campaign. and CFTC seem to be coming in also which might just replace the SEC in regulating crypto.

i guess  we can expect a pump in the coming July 25 to 27 then. maybe there will really be a bull run since this election could make BTC a household name.  even without the help of the big media but only Trump coverage.

This was one of the things that I feared a lot that could happen to crypto, and I am seeing more and more of it happen lately. Politicians may try to make bitcoin a political topic, when in reality bitcoin is above any candidate. The reason why it is decentralized is to make sure that we do not "need" any of these people, it doesn't matter if it is Trump or Biden, them trying to attract some voters by doing this, could be very terrible for bitcoin. The end result could be that if you have a republican president who likes it, then democrats may dislike it, or vice versa if the roles were switched. We need both republicans AND democrats, not just one side of the row.
