Your holding doesn't directly affects anyone or even attributes to anyone purchasing bitcoin, what happened is that when you hold is your choice but when you are selling thousands of bitcoin then it stirs up the market to be in a pressure of dip which directly affecting little investors and small holders who are tending to hold for short term.
Long term investors can never be affected by market changes because their focused could be to hold till their required date and time or even the years they planned of.

You can't buy Bitcoin worth of $100 and expect something that much, it is not possible unless you want to try out the likes of margin trading and futures but the disaster that comes after, I'm not sure if I will be ready for it, the risk is not worth it.

This is what actually happened if we are not having the idea when reversal will be and most newbies like me tend to buy at the top so we are trapped and need to wait for a long time to execute taking profit and others including me sometimes do cut loses especially if we are not able to wait that long so yeah that should also be taken into consideration by newcomers.

It depends on the situation, I think hodling (holding) isn't always the best option.
If you see the price of Bitcoin already reached your target, the best option is to sell your Bitcoin. I think a wise investor doesn't feel greedy, he only takes profits based on his target. For example, if the Bitcoin reaches $100k, it is better to sell the Bitcoin if your target is $100k. I totally disagree with you. You are not a smart investor if you use all your money to invest in Bitcoin. Every cryptocurrency is extremely risky, even investing in Bitcoin is not without risk. Holding BTC is good, but to hold BTC, there is actually a target price for releasing the BTC because basically we invest to seek profit. Personally, I will release my BTC if it has reached my sales target, and will not increase the target again because I have never been lucky when increasing the target.
