Bitcoin still fluctuates very well, it still has a chance to increase significantly. This makes people still focus on Bitcoin, they still assume Bitcoin has a big potential to gain big profits. People only start to move to altcoins when they feel Bitcoin is in a sideway or correction phase. So far, Bitcoin still dominates crypto market and it doesn't who the sign to be in a sideway/declining phase in the near future.

It seems Q1 of the next year will be the time for altcoins season. Yep, just keep holding our altcoins and we can buy again if we have funds. Today, it seems a big correction, most crypto coins are decreasing a lot. I'm sure there are many people who buy again altcoins today.

I agree with you, it seems that bitcoin is still strong and currently investors have not shifted to altcoins. It is possible that in Q1 next year we will see the altcoin season.
Currently there is a correction and the price of bitcoin has dropped to $ 96K now, hopefully this is the beginning of the altcoin season.

This period is not a time to sell Bitcoin it only depends on the amount you've acquired, in this bull season no body would even want to sell their BTC to others unless they have alot of them.

Agree. It is not the right time to sell because Bitcoin is decreasing quite a lot. We must be patient and keep holding because there will be a big momentum in January 2025. I am very sure that Bitcoin and altcoins will skyrocket again when Trump has been inaugurated as US president and SEC has a new chairman. The bullrun season also still continues to the next year. I think it will last until Q3 2025.

       -      Yep, it is possible, it is possible that it will happen especially if we see the value of bitcoins continue to dump in the market. But as long as we do not see the retracement of bitcoin in the market deepening, it may not be achieved or that will happen in the first quarter of 2025.

But this is just one of my assessments that is seen according to my analysis that I did this recently, which is also possible that what I am saying is wrong.

I have done both, sold a few in $100k+ and below it while continuing to invest to accumulate more BTC. This is the ideal plan for all of us. We take some and keep on invested because we are already attached to this market. And the potential is endless for BTC and it is only us that stop us from believing that because of the bad news that we see and read.

If you are a true holder then you wont really be that easily get shocked nor get panicked out on how this market behaves because you've been already aware of it.  This is why at the time that you will really be seeing the market  volatility then you wont be finding yourself having some issues and instead of panicking. You would really be rather trying out to take advantage if the market will really be having its dip. You will definitely be that knowledgeable on how to react into things accordingly because you do already have the idea on what it is. For those who are just that new then they are really that highly reactive when it comes into this manner because due to lack of knowledge then reactions something like this will really be just that normal.

A true holder are those who seek for long-term investment; they are the ones who keep investing and hold for long period of time.
I don't think he panicked about the price drop it's pretty normal, and selling BTC at higher price is also normal just to make a profit and then later buy again a cheaper price. What we see is just a retracement and soon will recover only if the price will retest again the $92k and if it fails to drop below that price then it might recover again at $100k above because there's strong buyer pressure at $92k.
Honestly, this is a good opportunity to buy based on other speculation, they are targeting $150k next year, and I am hoping to see $120k this coming January if it fails to break the previous price drop at $92k.

People who have long invested in crypto certainly will not panic seeing the current market down, because after bitcoin reached ATH $ 108K, there is a possibility of a correction. and now we see it, it is better to buy potential coins because the price of bitcoin is likely to rise again next week.

Selling bitcoin at $100K and then buying it back when the price drops, that's what I've done. Maybe our steps are almost the same, because I want to make a profit by buying and selling, because my capital is limited for long-term holding, so I take this step to increase my crypto assets. If I have a large capital, I will certainly choose long-term holding, but this way I can see my portfolio increase.

Good move with a strategy like this.
Whatever it is, if it is profitable, take this step because with limited funds, of course you want to have an advantage in this market situation, some friends do it like where he sells at $100K and buys again at around $95K even though this is a small profit he feels it is fair to do.

This can be called a scalping strategy, maybe this is what we usually hear in trading, but this method can also be quite effective for us to apply in buying, holding and selling in a short time.

Indeed, when our capital is quite minimal and we want to take advantage of market fluctuations, then this method can be done, but of course the time must also be right. Usually I do this method on altcoins too.

We must do market analysis by understanding the current market trend because sometimes our predictions are wrong and suddenly the market falls. So be careful if you don't have enough experience there.

There are people who waits to see how others succeed in their investment before they can easily join the investment though when person succeed and blow up their cover you would see lot of people will want to venture into that particular investment, but when their seems to be lost or no progress in that particular investment you would see them losing interest or declining from that investment because they are not readily available to lose their single pin. But when there seems to be progress you would see them continually delving into that particular investments, and waiting for their results.

You're right, the key to everything is that things like Investments are about having patience, and the fact is that it's not easy, that when we get into something we want to see our investments in the positive, and many timesWwhen we get into it, the opposite Happens , they go down, and that makes us desperate, that's why we must be clear about Everything , what we are Thinking when we are looking for the best results, that's why it's good to keep in mind that the BTC investment is the best so far and the rich are not selling BTC , just by sharing what the rich do in terms of investment , because we are already winning.

Re: Hold or sell?
« Reply #404 on: December 22, 2024, 09:33:53 PM »
I have done both, sold a few in $100k+ and below it while continuing to invest to accumulate more BTC. This is the ideal plan for all of us. We take some and keep on invested because we are already attached to this market. And the potential is endless for BTC and it is only us that stop us from believing that because of the bad news that we see and read.
I also often do this buying and selling bitcoin quickly, when I feel I have made a profit I quickly sell it and buy it back when there is a decline. the results are not big but at least it adds to my portfolio and anything that can make a profit we can do in the crypto world.
I agree with this
