Have any of you here followed the suggestions given by content creators on social media which can be obtained for free? And how big an impact does the decision-making method of using influencer references have on your finances?

Even though at first I wasn't referring to a book... but what you explained is true, that this book is free and worth reading... at first I was more sarcastic about the existence of TikTok or YouTube influencers who get money from their followers... but Antonopoulos changed my thinking...

I honestly didn't know this free book existed, and after realizing it, this seems like free content that should be prioritized, rather than hearing an artist babble on about analysis or predictions.

He made a lot of good content, so you should definitely check his content more. Just remember that an exception always exist, so your opinion that influencers prioritize money more than good content is not necessarily wrong.

That's true, but the fact that those influencers continue making those content means it sell well. The majority of viewers probably don't want to spend a lot of time learning things so they just look for quick and shallow advice.

As an investor or trader, you must be able to do independent research and not depend on other people such as influencers.
Some influencers do do the job to seek more profits without thinking about others and such influencers should be tagged.

Agree. It is a must to have the ability of doing a research. It is strange if a professional trader/investor relies on influencers. Every time we want to buy coins, we must do own research firstly. How we determine whether it is a good coin or bad coin if we can't do a research? But to have the ability of doing research, we must have good knowledge.

But several other influencers provide education so that they can be better at trading and becoming investors.

Even if the influencers educate people, they are not impossible to do mistakes. They are also human, they can make the wrong analysis, too. The best way is to do own research, we won't regret it if it is based on our own analysis.

I used to do that in the past and I lost a lot of money because many of these content creators are just shills and promoters of these coins, They are being paid to promote these new coins and tokens you can obtain it free but they are actually shilling these tokens.

Because of these, I prefer to do my own diligence and make comparisons, instead of trusting these influencers, its my money anyway.

Instead, use your own mind, as God has given it to you, and do the right things. Stop depending on other brains.

This could be one of the reasons why the majority of investors make mistakes and suffer losses in this market even though BTC price has been continuously increasing through each cycle. What is more concerning is that KOLs often have sound advice in the early stages of a bullrun but become too FOMO and blinded at the hottest point of the market and often advise their followers to continue buying and holding to the moon @@

I encourage investors to do their own research on the market and only use the free advice on the internet as reference information to make it easier to make decisions. Equally important, investors will always be financially responsible for their own decisions to gain experience for the future, blaming KOLs does not bring any value.

Many content creator currently as hype moment awhile, when bitcoin success break out the new higher price many attend or content creator discussing about cryptocurrency on their channel but most of them lack knowledge about cryptocurrency before.

Note that not all advice or directives from the content creators or influencers are wrong, sometimes they can actually help investors stay informed with legit and authentic news and information concerning the crypto market, but that's not to say that one should follow them blindly, without first conducting their own personal research,

We should try to strike a balance between listening and following their advice and conducting your own research. Thankfully, There are several sources online that one can verify information that we hear from somewhere or not sure of, so we should do more to use these sources to validate and evaluate the authenticity of the information we receive from these content creators.
Rather than following their guidance blindly, let's consider them instead to be more a a starting point, providing us with the help we need to conduct our own research.

Agree, it's okay to accept advice from the content creator, but don't focus on just one person who gives advice but compare it with education from others too. Not necessarily what the content creator says is true, but we should compare it with others too. Of course, in the end, we ourselves determine whether we deserve to accept all of that or just with what we do.
Of course, all the best sources we will use and, if I personally, prefer to use what we may have modified between the good ones and what we have.

I try to stay away from suggestions/predictions stuff as much as possible  as I feel it don't have any value.

But, if somehow I watched such stuff accidently then it's likely I'll be influenced even though not willingly.

Some and not all should be followed from some of these content creators, many of them were doing what they were asked to do because of being paid for that same particular purpose, we also have to have an idea in knowing and decerning from what is expected and not, we cannot randomly accept in whatever we receive on the social media from some of these content creators, we need to know how to examine for the best of them which were with reliable information that are not misleading.

Not all the content creators are given the right informations, some were just there to make their own way through and pass anyhow information to the public without considering any negative effect from what they are giving, we can also to an extent trust in some other few, because we are very sure of the way they give out informations with an overtime consistencies of accurate disseminations or content creations..
