One coin from my holdings has gained 4x return for me. When it reached 4x value then I sold 75% of my holdings and those were some really good profits. Currently, I'm holding some good coins and those are performing pretty well for me.
Good enough as long as the target you need is only 4x and save 25% for the next raise.
I also have some altcoins that are up 2x to 6x now, but some I hold on for the long term, but of course taking some profits for repurchases it needs to be done when the market is as good as it is right now.

Yes, I believe it's important to take profits from time to time because it's crypto market and we all know that crypto market is very unpredictable at times. I take no risk that's why I sell when I'm in profit and wait patiently to see some dips to accumulate some coins again.

The dips will continue as that's the nature of the market that's why I hold my coins and sell when I'm in profit and re buy when I see those coins at cheap rates.

I think my portfolio did not do too badly. I made some profit of some Initial Dex Offerings hosted by Pancakeswap. The name of the token cakepie.  I did not buy much but the profit was about 1500 usd. Then I got some profitable airdrop from Omni and Gaimin. Fetched me about 5k usd. Then the dump started and I lost much of my worth. But i have recovered some.
Not a bad year

Not that much but still my portfolio is on the + side with my altcoins. But yeah, as long as we are here for the bigger picture, we will all be good and if we play our cards very well, maybe others might sell some and re-invest on some meme coins.

But we need to be very cautious if we deal with meme coins, we need to have that experience to make a good enough profits and understand when we should get out and then never look back and regret our decisions.

I no longer have my own crypto asset due to emergency which I really need but I am planning to hold once I have paid all my debt. Since I don't have any asset as of now so I won't be able to know if I earned a profit or on a loss side. About what to invest is that I only choose altcoins and coins that are on top leaderboard instead of investing to an altcoins or coins that aren't on top leaderboard or even a new project which it is a much bigger risk although both is risky in its own way.

And that is the very definition of meme coins though, that huge spike in the price and then the market cap going off the charts. But we will have to question whether it's sustainable or not and we all know the answer for that. Lucky for those who really know how to play the game about meme coins and then getting out in time to make profit rinse and repeat. And with that, if there are investors that are going to win, there could be some, specially newbies in the market that are going to suffer a big lost. So it really depends on the risk appetite of the investors if they are willing to join the meme craze and bet to win in the end. For Bitcoin enthusiast, I doubt that they are going after those meme coins.
Unfortunately, this is a fact. No one wins unless there is a loser on the other side, and most of them are, as you mentioned, beginners in the market who do not know the correct times to enter and exit and thus receive the biggest losses.

Greed is always the reason behind running after meme coins. Beginners think that they can get rich quickly just by buying these currencies, and in the end they are the victim.

Over the past year, or more precisely when the price of BTC remained in the range of $27k-$30k... I started to accumulate some BTC... and until now it is certain that I have a profit from the DCA that I did... so do I I could sell my BTC right now, but my selling target increased after knowing that the halving had just happened.. that made me a little more confident that BTC was able to rise even higher..

In conclusion... BTC has been profitable for me to date... so the performance of my asset is enough to make me happier than before.

But we need to be very cautious if we deal with meme coins, we need to have that experience to make a good enough profits and understand when we should get out and then never look back and regret our decisions.
It is not recommended to enter meme coins if you only want to follow the trend, it is better to enter coins that are already recommended and have a quick recovery. There are many examples of memecoins that were initially hyped and are now worthless.

But some memecoins are also quite good such as DOGE, SHIBA, PEPE but it is not uncommon for these memecoins to also fall due to the unstable price of bitcoin.

Having an 80% Bitcoin Portfolio is a good way to go for the long term, and ETH can also be an option because of its movement that follows bitcoin.

Meme coin is indeed very dangerous, but so far, if we want to make a large profit quickly, we have to be brave enough to face these risks. The most terrible thing is that even when we dare to face the risks, we still have no guarantee of making a profit. Even though we use Doge, Shiba, Pepe, none of them can provide definite profits. So we have to be careful when using the money we have to trade in meme coins.

Of course, there must be risk management and funds to enter memecoins because the risks are enormous.
don't use all your money and only use a portion of it to get into memecoins.

Maybe a memecoin can provide a profit of thousands of percent in an instant, but it will also be the other way around, there will be a big loss when the memecoin is no longer hype.  It is necessary to be very careful and make sure you have the right coins
