Do you use Gunbot for trading?

You might have heard of the Gunbot trading software that is specifically designed for crypto. It was around since 2017 I think, and was very popular early on on the forums.

It works by connecting to your exchange and trading certain pairs for you without wiping out your entire balance on the exchange. It's more of a long-term trading bot.

So do you use it? Why or why not?

I use Gunbot For my everyday trading, especially in the spot market. I have used also strategies For the futures market But it is more risky.

I agree with you that it is a long-term thing and I have started different threads as well for my journey with using it. It has been really helpful for me with trading because I am busy in real life so I cannot focus too much of my time on trading.

Bots have made some traders lazy. There is even bots that are called auto invest. Few other trading bots that I have seen also made me think they are making traders lazy. Bots would be good not for making profit but to find ways to trade when you are not online like while sleeping or at work or when doing something else. You will not have to be visiting the exchange all the time or be trading and checking the market all the time because the bots will be doing the work for you. Not that it can increase your profit. And not that the bots are perfect than humans. Good traders are perfect than them.

The only people who can use robots in trading are traders who already have an idea of trading on their own and traders who will not become totally dependent on these robots for results. Before using a robot you must be good enough to know when the robot has started to give bad results so that you can make changes, and this is only possible when you have good knowledge of trading. I always advise new traders in the market to try to have an understanding of the market first before looking for robots to trade with instead of depending on robots from the beginning. No matter how reputable the robot is for success, it is bad when you depend on it without knowledge.

It's like giving ChatGPT to an ordinary person and asking it to create a program. Or a website.

Without further refinement, the output is crude and worthless.

And similarly, you obviously have to be a good trader before you use any trading bot, because the reason they are called such is that they help you automate trades. If you don't know how to trade properly, then you are going to multiply your inexperience (and the financial effects of that) by 100x when you use a bot.

I agree with this. Most bots should be used by experienced traders but there are few that newbies can use like the auto invest which I mentioned earlier. But this is just a way to encourage someone to have his coins on exchanges and let the bot do the work which is against the rules of not your keys not your coins. I prefer to manually do the investing myself. Some bots are designed for investment than short term trading although most bots are specifically designed for trading.

      -     I honestly don't have a good impression of that gunbot, because according to my research, most of what I read is not good feedback regarding the gunbot.

But from what you said and mentioned, I seem to have a curiosity about how this helps you despite being a busy person, although I often do day trade and futures trade in the crypto space. Can you give me some hints on that, mate? You can send me a PM so I can have it. Thanks.

This is the first time I heard about Gunbot but I have known about trading bots for a long time. But, I'm not a fan of those because I don't trust them. I can't trade my money with the bot if I can. But usually if you don't have time and you have a lot of money we can use a bot especially if it's long term trading because the risk is lesser. I knew a lot of people who have been liquidated from trading using the bot because it is short term trading which is risky compared to long term.

Gunbot? I've never heard of this trading-bot, and I'm quite interested in the trading method it's designed to generate profits for users. I don't hate trading-bot, but I don't support using them either. I wouldn't dare to entrust all of my crypto assets to a trading-bot.

I don't trade often, I choose DCA and holding to find profits in this market. I will wait for more reviews on the profits that users have achieved with Gunbot's help.

I don't use intelligent technological tools for my trades because I think people who needed this technology on trades are basically traders and not investors like me which I usually have a specific target to hit in the market and then select out to make my profit.

Applying the use of artificial technology can not create its own crypto marketing strategies which would better me alone in the crypto markets so I find it unnecessary for now and besides... I am still a little holder in the crypto markets with my non technical knowledge too which I fear to use the tools for trading.

I am not subjecting that it is not a good ideal to be used to it is not just for me at now and I can not afford to use it for to my level of knowledge in the industry yet.

Used it for a while long back in the days but exactly for the opposite, stepgrid mostly when I was certain for a period we were going to have a long continuous up and down, back and forth period, probably it would have been nice to play with it the last month too but I kind of got tired way earlier of bots. Got a few decent days, lost others, all in all profitable but I've never let him play with too much, just as in gambling had him on a tight leash.

I don't know how good it's nowadays but seems like it's not in the spotlight anymore.

They do have disadvantages but advantages too. Crwth agreed that he is using this bot because he has no time to give to trading setup but he also wants to be in trading and want to make a profit but in the long run, that's why he prefers to use it. So It has its own good and bad. I did not know about it before, this bot is new to my information. I did not know there were bots that we could integrate into our exchanges. I always thought such bots came with their own trading platforms.

I am aware of some other bots but they are not good to my knowledge. Because such AI-based bots are risky and they can lose all of your money. We must use them for spot trading only. I will get more knowledge about it. Humans are obviously the best traders and AI based trading bots can't take their places.

I used to be a reseller, and now I am not anymore for many years, while crwth can never be honest about it because he HAS TO say its good, because his income literally depends on it, I can tell my honest opinion because I won't make a buck from you. I have to say, I haven't used it in YEARS, so what I will talk about is not right now, but in general aspect of it. I am not going to say if you can make a profit or not, I am talking about if it works or not, you can just test it and see, the starter level of it is not really that expensive, so shouldn't be that hard to start, and if you can't afford to buy that, then you definitely won't have money left anyway. But what I am going to say is that Gunthar (the creator of it) is a dude who does listen to what community wants, which means that from 2017 until now, gunbot has improved based on what the buyers asked for, which is what you can only hope for from a software developer. I am no longer connected to the system so I can't vouch directly for gunbot, but I can vouch for Gunthar himself, that dude knows what he is doing.

Gunbot, this is the first time I am hearing about this development and I am sure that we may have to read through how the bots works and how to use it to stay at profit while trading, this is one of the few trading bots I have hard about and definitely none have proven to be a sustainable trading tool for a long time now, but we won't stop trying any new developments that comes up.

I used them when it was possible to access CEXs without completing identity verification in 2021, and it was good when you connected more than one platform and executed orders that were difficult to execute in CEXs, but currently there are a lot of options for CEXs, and therefore their use will be limited to those who want to use trading bots.
