Should children be educated about Bitcoin?

TBH, I would like to agree with 2 points, Childhood is not to making money and bearing responsibilities, Yup in this competitive world you need to start running early but at the same time you should acknowledge that childhood is a never-returning time, you cant enjoy ever in your life as you enjoy in your childhood. Things are different for teenagers, in high schools the financial markets and risk investment markets should introduced for the betterment of their life style.

I think it is good for children to learn about Bitcoin and blockchain, but not because they are our children or our little brothers, but because learning how a technology focused on self-sufficiency works can give more emotional security and develop growth. Whether we like it or not, we live in an increasingly technological world, and the sooner these children learn to independently use the tools that can give them some privacy and financial freedom, the sooner they will learn to be autonomous.

Unfortunately, the time in which today's children grow up is completely different from the time in which people who were born 30 or more years ago grew up. As far as I can see from the voting results, even 70% of those who voted agree that children should be educated about Bitcoin after the age of 12+ or even regardless of age.

I have already written that this education does not have to mean that we teach children some complex things, nor that this education should be forced in any way - children at that age learn best through play, and Bitcoin can always be explained in a simple way.

It is always important that when we want to explain to anyone what Bitcoin is, we do it in the simplest possible way, because otherwise people often get discouraged very quickly if you tell them about how to create a wallet, save a seed, adjust the fee for a transaction, and the like.

When children start school, they first learn to write letters and numbers, which is a prerequisite for everything else - it should be the same with getting to know Bitcoin.

You are right but I think when you look deeply into Bitcoin, you will understand that Bitcoin is more than money and asset. You can never make a transaction from any of the traditional market without your privacy been violated but you can do so with Bitcoin right in the comfort of your home without answering any queries and why you are sending such amount.

TBH, people use to say much about the privacy of a transaction and many things related to that, I do believe in privacy but in this world haha, privacy does exist (I'm talking about social media life and in other words life on the internet) even if you ask 90% people won't even be familiar with this term actually, that how their data is getting used, Well that's not pur topic for now. A person who is doing a job, dont even care about the privacy of the transactions as the maximum cycle of his life will be earning, spending on himself and spending on family, and saving a little, Privacy is the desire of a Businessman to control, hide and save money from extra taxes and other things.

Yup for the rest about educating kids, how economic policies are a big scam, around the entire world how they should save their life earnings.

I personally believe that money and assets are merely tools in life. Meaning, if BTC were to become a global asset, it wouldn't be a big deal if my children don't delve deep into BTC. They could comfortably live in the new era of finance with BTC at its center, similar to how we're living quite well without needing to hold gold or $.

I think I'll tell my children about BTC, but only as I teach them about money and personal finance. They'll have plenty of time to pursue other interests like science, arts, and traditional culture instead of focusing on financial events and the big swings on BTC price chart.

We can teach our child/children about that, but don't go to a point where you will just throw lots of information on them in a short amount of time. They're children at the end of the day, and they might rather focus on playing than learning it. I agree with what you said that our technology is evolving on a rapid pace. As for me, I would not jump into Bitcoin first, but will learn the fundamentals first like the basics of finance.

I agree but I know a lot of people will still say that "if only I knew this early" so for me I'd rather sacrifice in exchange for an early achievrment of financial freedom than act like normal and keep on working until strength lasts. Though this is just the matter of personal preference but yeah that's what life is.

It is true that at first it can be overwhelming, but it is about knowing how to teach and above all never forgetting that they are children. With patience and making things fun, children are able to learn things much faster than adults, since the neurotransmitters at these stages are much more flexible than when we are adults. After an introduction, it's about teaching with games. It is proven that when children have fun they absorb information and process it in a short time.

Who knows, it is possible that among our brothers, sons and daughters we will have the next Vitalik.

Yes, this should still be the foundation. They must experience their childhood according to their world first. and they cannot be forced to accept or do things that can ruin their childhood fun.

However, if education related to Bitcoin or crypto is just an introduction without the intention of making them jump straight into the crypto world and make money, I think there is nothing wrong with that. as long as it is just an introduction and does not complicate or burden them. because this is insight and children sometimes like new things. so yes, it is our job as parents or educators to understand them too. because there are some small children who have high enthusiasm for this. So, understand our children, what their desires are, what their interests are, and so on, so that we can give them the best things, according to their needs.

@Zed0X, I think it is even more important to teach children some things on time, because otherwise they will "learn" from some others who do not have good intentions at all. Bad ideas implanted in a young mind are very difficult to change, and those who direct the world in a direction that suits them primarily target children because they are much easier to manipulate.

An average child in an average country who encounters information about Bitcoin online will mostly have the wrong idea about it until they reach adulthood.

Agree. Children has the right to know crypto and Bitcoin. But they must know it in the right time. We don't force to introduce him too early, it will ruin their childhood. The children also will get difficulty to understand it if they are too young to know crypto/Bitcoin. I think the children should be above 12+ to know it in general. Even if we introduce the basic things of crypto/Bitcoin, I think it should at Junior high school at least. This is a proper time to let them know, they already have the ability to understand it. It is not for an elementary school student.

Exactly! I think another thing that people fail to understand is that between Bitcoin and some hyped meme tokens, kids will probably hear more about the latter. Ages 7 to 12 is a lot of time for them to be fed the wrong information from outside sources. I won't be surprised if they might think it's cooler to have cat or dog tokens instead of BTC.
