Yes that is it, people are also using fiat for for ill activity just as most people uses Bitcoin for ill activity, but we can't categorically say that children will use bitcoin for evil activity or to hack or steal from someone but it is always advisable for them to get the knowledge from little and when they grow up they becomes more and more rooted into them than leaving them to wait till they grows up by then they might miss some important aspect of Bitcoin.
Nowadays due to the technology and the world revolving heavily bitcoin knowledge seems to be very important to people around and anyone who doesn't understand the language of Bitcoin since to have been lacking all this while.
Children should have started to know and understand about bitcoin and crypto, because if we wait for them to grow up it will be too late because others have already gone first. So as parents, we should provide education about crypto to our children.

No matter how we try to push this crypto learning for kids, the end depends on if the government is going to approve it or not. If the government doesn't approve it, there is no going to be any development regarding thag aspect. Even after the approval, the government will have to review the things that are going to be thought, if they don't like it, it will take a lot of time to approve.

I'm of the support for crypto learning, the world need to let crypto expand in every areas of life but it might not go as we want because some places wouldn't approved the use of Bitcoin talk more of the knowledge.
I believe you have vast knowledge about bitcoin and to the entire cryptocurrency right? Okay, where you thought by government or did you wait for any approval from government to have this knowledge? No! So even though government didn't give approval there is still need for the kids to know the basics towards bitcoin and to the general knowledge about cryptocurrency with this even though government approval or no approval non of those kids would lag behind and they would have all knowledge concerning the space.

I agree with you sir, let the children learn like other children so that they know the basics of general knowledge and they will know for themselves about current developments such as technology, namely digital currency.. no need to rush to introduce crypto to children, just let them learn like other children so that they learn general knowledge so that they are smarter and not easily fooled, after they are ready to get to know crypto, introduce them and surely they will quickly understand how to play crypto. if we introduce them during their learning period, it will be difficult for them to respond to the crypto world because it is not yet time for them to understand this.

How? Teaching them is what are saying here mate.. If they don't have the knowledge how would they know when they grows up? The thing is they should understand cryptocurrency and be prepared for it in future maybe when they have come of age they could decides when to investment or not, maybe with knowledge some of them could go into self development by having that feelings to develop their coin just as the way lot of coin has been created today by lot of people out there.

agree with you mate. By providing basic knowledge about crypto we can prepare our children for the future, because it seems like crypto will be more popular and dominate in the future. If we don't provide knowledge from now on, they will be left behind when they are adults.

Or, as an adult they will forget all that imposed knowledge and focus on things that they are interested in. Not always a child follows parents footsteps. Not always a child becomes someone that parents wished him to be. A lot of parents see their kids as CEOs, successful investors, top managers, doctors, lawyers, but we have lots of kids who study and experience different professions.

For example the same goes with electric vehicles, green energy everywhere, solar power, recycling and etc. We could teach kids that this is our future and they should aim to succeed in those areas. Instead nobody talks about that, teach about that.

Age 15 is the right age to get to know crypto. After they gain an understanding of crypto, we give them the freedom to invest and learn trading, because at that age they can understand the risks and hone their skills in conducting research and running trading in crypto.
Agree. Age 15 already have the ability something like crypto. But we don't need to introduce too specific thing about crypto. Although they are already 15, we only need to introduce general things about crypto. They are still not in the age that someone can understand trading skills, market analysis, investment approach, or etc.

agree with you mate. By providing basic knowledge about crypto we can prepare our children for the future, because it seems like crypto will be more popular and dominate in the future. If we don't provide knowledge from now on, they will be left behind when they are adults.
Share good knowledge to children is the right way. But we must adjust the knowledge to be shared with them. Although knowledge is good but not every knowledge to share for 15 years old.

Here it depends on how old these children are, if I give an example on my child, he himself began to ask me about cryptocurrency already at the age of 11, and at the age of 12 he was already helping me do some things on the Internet, now he is already 14 and we talk with him almost every day about the movement of the market and about trading with investments.

What is all this for? and the fact that if your child himself shows interest, then he needs to be helped and directed to study at least by watching videos on YouTube, but if he does not have the desire, then I think it is better not to interfere with him.

Continuing the story with your kid (if you allow) - how did he find out about cryptocurrency? I am curious what has pushed him to began asking questions? Is it because you were into crypto all the time, or he has heard, saw, read something about? Because if a family is experienced in crypto, and are not just "we have bought and wait", then educating about Bitcoin will be useful. But if a family adult members members look on crypto like on a miracle, then what could their children learn about it? Today, still not many are familiar with crypto. Some have only heard about it and think that it is sort of a virtual money. If adults are not good at crypto (in case a child asks for explanation or a help), then it is no use educating.

Personally, in my experience of educating my child, it most likely happened by itself, since to the question “how do you, dad, make money on the Internet?” I always answered with one word (on cryptocurrency), also when my child was very small, he saw a mining farm in my office and asking why they were buzzing here, he heard in response (to earn cryptocurrency). Since childhood, he constantly heard about cryptocurrency and heard a lot of conversations on the phone when I discuss cryptocurrency with friends. In my case, not only my child knows about cryptocurrency, but also his friends, but I will note that knowing and earning are different things, and the first money that I gave him for trading, he naturally lost to zero))

Great story. My child only knows that I use laptop for work. Even when I spend time posting on the forum, I tell him that I am working. The kid is still young and dont know much about money. The only thing my kid knows about earning is "Dad, can I wash dishes, help mum, and read X pages of book, and in exchange can you buy me either in-game location or cash (saves for a mobile)?". Even if I use words crypto and bitcoin, it is still nothing for her. The only family member that pays attention to crypto is (it will sound funny)  my mother-in-law. And even then she asks "how are your bitcoin?" or "rich already" ? :)

Re: Should children be educated about Bitcoin?
« Reply #175 on: August 29, 2024, 09:51:15 PM »
Your mother-in-law is very kind and respectful of your life, that's very good especially she asked how bitcoin is, because my mother-in-law doesn't understand about crypto, because she is an old generation.
While my children are also still young so I don't tell them much about crypto, because I think it's not time for them to know bitcoin and crypto. Yerah.. as you said they only know that their father is working when opening the laptop.

Nice! As I've been saying, kids will hear about crypto even at an earlier age and there's nothing parents could really do about it. It's either they can learn it from you or from someone else. I don't exactly agree with letting him experience trading but it's better that the lesson is coming from you. Overall, I think your child is off to a good start.

By providing basic knowledge about crypto we can prepare our children for the future, because it seems like crypto will be more popular and dominate in the future. If we don't provide knowledge from now on, they will be left behind when they are adults.
No one knows how popular crypto in the future. However, I agree it is needed to introduce our children about crypto. Our children need to know the potential of crypto. But we don't force them to know it very early, just wait for the right time to introduce them. I support the idea of some members to introduce them when they are already in Junior high school. When they are the student of Junior high school, they are probably ready to know the basic things about crypto.

My child only knows that I use laptop for work. Even when I spend time posting on the forum, I tell him that I am working. The kid is still young and dont know much about money.
My children also don't know anything about crypto now. It is the same as you, children only knows that we are working with laptop. I still have no intention to tell them anything about crypto now. They are too early to know it. Even if I expect they will utilize crypto in the future, telling them should be at the right time.

But you will never know if this "hearing about bitcoin" will be enough to raise interest to crypto. I am trying to educate my kid that money does not grow on tries and to purchase something expensive, I have to dedicate a lot of free time to work. However, I still hear a lot of "I want" and hopefully this is just an expression to get something, not a demand. Also, I have noticed how my kid is good at learning math and how easy it was to learn to read. But I cant force my kid to start loving reading or improving math skills to make future learning at school easier. Moreover, isnt kids nowadays to much busy at school and doing homework, that they should spend their free time on learning crypto instead of having a rest?
I also think just telling kids about bitcoin might not be enough to make them interested in crypto. It is good that you are teaching your kid that money does not grow on trees and that they need to work hard to buy things. But it is also important to let them find their own interests and hobbies. Making them learn about crypto or other things can be bad and make them tired.

Kids already have a lot of schoolwork and homework so they need time to rest. Except this forcing them to learn about crypto maybe just encourage them to be curious and ask questions if they want to learn more. This way they can learn because they want to not because they have to. By the way I didn't get married yet so I have no kids and you are doing well if you are caring about them.
