Actually, giving knowledge about crypto to children is a good thing, because we should not let our children miss the opportunity to learn because crypto will likely be more dominant in the future, its popularity will also be high when our children are adults.

I don't think that the emphasis is on the fact that children will
"miss the opportunity", but on the fact that they could adopt a lot of wrong (malicious) ideas that they will certainly be exposed to through various types of media.
A very large part of people are convinced that Bitcoin is only a
"tool" for money laundering, computer fraud and tax evasion, and that
"mining" causes great damage to our planet and consumes enormous amounts of electricity. All this can be disputed with a very clear use of facts, but only if this information is given in time.
After all, children never have to be involved in cryptocurrencies in any way, but it is important that they know the truth - and the truth is not always what we hear in the media.
