Looks like the tovernment didn't took time to make people chill out because nothing can be done about these prices really because its happening everywhere around the globe. All the money we have are pegged to USD which its value is also crashing.

What they are saying it that there will be global recession. Althiugh we are far away from where its happening but because our reserves are USD, we are all going down along unless countries like us figured a way to move. I think this is the reason banks all over the world are buying gold.

Virtually every transaction as it relates to international relations are tied to dollar which I believe is possibly why the dollar dominance and it seems that the world depends on the dollar for everything. As it stands now, dedollarisation seems to be their resolve as some nations are beginning to come up with their own international trade policy to favor their own local currency and secondly, I believe if government of various nations looks into their own economy in strengthening their own local economy by encouraging local production and consumption of goods and services, there would be no course to get worried over importation of goods and currency price fluctuations.

I just surprise say nobody even talk anything about the protest wey our people Dey plan to do from August 1st (wey be tomorrow) to August 10th with the tag “EndBadGovernance”.

I just want hear our opinion on the issue, whether we think say this protest go yield any result or we think say dem go still hire touts to take over the protest and disrupt am or turn am to riots. Make we just chuck mouth for the matter small.

The problem for Naija plenty and this particular protest no yield any result for us because even after the protest was still hijacked at some point, the presidential speech no address any of the matter wey people been dey cry about and that thing no make sense at all. I know say him go dey hide for back say without hardship there will not be joy but the matter not still be small thing as e dey affect the poor Nigerians wey dey feed from hand to mouth. This is more than two months after the protest and till now we never hear anything about the matter wey lead to the process, things just dey hike and for this naija if something don go up, e dey very hard to come down and na something wey we need to also look into be that. Make e no be say, it’ll either get worse or remain like this, e go hard wey some people go survive am sha.

President came out gave a speech that was leaked before the day and what did we as Nigerians do? We all sat down watch the news and said to ourselves “it will get better” - see Nigerians are not cooperating that’s why this shit is still happening, imagine in a country where hardship is killing its citizens, some people decided to go on a movement and let the government know that we’re suffering, instead of other citizens to go out and join them they refused saying “it’s not affecting me so I don’t see any reason to go out”.

Well, I don’t see any change coming to the country anytime soon so we might just have to start preparing for the worse because with the way the country is being handled I think this is just the beginning of the hardship.

October 1st protest still changed nothing but people died are there names recorded are they heroes? No, lives just wasted why can't we learn from Ghana and be one minded. If Nigerians like make we protest from now till thy kingdom come nothing will change. It takes wisdom to achieve.

Police are the lowest level of citizens in Nigeria because they are slaves to the politicians since they have bought them over. Majority of the problem that is happening in Nigeria are the cause of the police. This is because they are corrupt and can no longer give the common man safety anymore. Police are cowards because they cannot fight for their right neither will they also allow the citizens to fight for their right. Politicians uses them as backups to their evil and pay them peanuts. How do you think the country will move forward when the law enforcement agencies are the ones against the law.

It's just like having an INEC chairman. It's totally wrong for the presidency to appoint INEC chairman because this body ought to be neural. This government are just too smart. Their target is to weaken the system is such a way that it can favor them, and the citizens don't even take note of this little detail.

It seems you have a very big personal issues with police people and their family, your reasons for that may be valid though. Police are under the government and have sworn allegiance to be dutiful and respectful to those that are in power, by violating their orders means they cannot be trusted to have the controls and protection of life and properties of citizens. Nigerian is yet to get to that stage that liberation will take over, that is when the police won’t have the power to stop the people from revolution and most of them will also follow in it and make the rule and order in the country at that time not valid. Nigeria is far from that and we can’t blame the police for doing that doing the protest.

Politicians are this smart though but that is a normal thing every politician would want to do if the opportunity avails itself and if they can be able to do such to suit themselves as well they would do it. They always wants to get everything under control so that nobody takes them unawares. It is amongst the strategy they use little wonder they are against constitution amendment as it relates to appointment of status head of agencies because they know what would become of them if such happens.

Normally, such office should be the most senior officer attaining the position as a result of merit and other criteria but the politicians do not want it because of their ill motive and the fear of revolution, revolt and possibly other activities that may threaten their government hence they do appointment their loyalist in that field or sector to head so that they can comfortably do whatever they want.

He keeps telling the citizens to have patience and endure the hardship without even stating the plans on ground to solve the economic crisis. It's obvious that the current administration will condemn the country further for another 8 years, and also bring a successor to continue from where they stopped. Very shameful.

I don't know how the discussion come to this stage but let put mouth for here to make scores. Nigerian democracy died in the hand of APC from the first day they took over the leadership in the country.  To some extent democracy was practiced in the hand of PDP as of then but I don't know of now if they still take over. In Nigeria, INEC and the judiciary determine who would become president and the police and army completement or execute the plans of the two institutions to protect their interest.
