How frequent should Pre-markets be?
« on: August 01, 2024, 08:52:13 PM »
Is it just me or have pre-markets been getting more and more popular or rather rampant over the past few months. AI, GameFi, Memes and all sorts of tokens have been having pre-markets for weeks now which I think is just exchanges trying to capitalize on the hype a project has to trap users on their platform when that token lists.

To be fair it's not fully like that, I've participated in a couple premarkets myself and actually found them quite rewarding. You may be wondering why I'm writing all this, well I was going to check the price of this one ORDER project on premarket and I saw a whole bunch of other tokens on premarket as well and I didn't think many of them were necessary tho. Do you guys have the same thoughts too?

I don't think there's any satisfactory answer for you. At the end of the day the market, or in this case exchange or third-party seller will try their best to capitalize on the opportunity to sell/trade pre-market tokens as much as possible. On the other hand, the frequency doesn't really matter as long as the project is solid IMO. Obviously this will reduce the potential profit for initial buyers, which is why you should not buy any pre-market listing if the price is way below the initial token price. At least that's how I understand it. Then again market can be irrational sometime, and something that's not as unique as before can tank just because of that. CMIIW.

I mean if we talk about necessary than pretty much most of crypto coins are useless.

Exchanges list tokens (whether pre-market or otherwise) because they see demand of it and it of course brings users to the exchange, when the demand is no more, they delist it. I don't think there is more to it.

This might be true if the alt doesn't have utilities or something. But a real project doesn't just fade after a few months. The OP mentioned order. Their airdrop is scheduled for the 26th, along with a lot of opportunities like these👇 . I think the project has created a specific demand for traders, which is likely to keep the project relevant for a long time."
