of course if you do something wrong and make a mistake in diversifying your portfolio you can’t expect to still see good results after won’t you? people are different kinds of investors and if they feel comfortable with just investing in only one coin i.e bitcoin then i would not take that against them however i do believe that diversification of portfolio has its own benefits which is why i try to do it the best that i can

I believe that it reduces or manages possible risks to come when you hold different assets if one project does bad all will not be lost since you will still have funds in another asset not to mention that there could be higher chances of profit taking if you have a variety of investments

It actually depends if we have enough funds to diversify our assets whether it is in crypto or other assets. For me, if I had the ability capacity to diversify I think it is a must if my main investment is from Bitcoin then I think Ethereum, Solana, Ton and other ecosystems with potentials is an option though right now I have few portions of Bitcoin and few dollars worh of Solana Memecoins and yeah they're doing good especially the Memecoins as it was still in profit even the price of Bitcoin is decreasing.

I don't think that diversifying means putting money in more than one coin. From my understanding, diversifying means putting into other assets that are not cryptocurrency. That is, if you feel that you have more than enough Bitcoin in your possession and you feel like you don't need more butvwant to keep investing since you have the resources. The money that you were using to accumulate bitcoin will be channeled in other assets like real estate, gold stocks, bonds and cash equivalents. This is because if one line of investment is not doing well, the other can balance it and that gives more confidence for the investor because his money is in different assests. If you are investing in bitcoin and you diversify into altcoins, it is not secured and very risky because we know that bitcoin is the best in long-term and profit generating, also bitcoin is king and controls the market movement of altcoins. It means that if bitcoin dips, all your other altcoins will also dip putting you at a big loss in general.

The risk of losing money will be lowered if you will diversify into different asset classes like Stock Market, Bonds, Real Estate, etc.

TBH, both of you have rights and wrongs. Different people have different strategies and understanding as well when it comes to diversification.

Yesh exactly what is important is that we are happy and contented with our strategy. Diversification of assets I think has advantages more than disadvantages. Though there is high possibility of failure but as long as we are knowledgeable enough with our strategy we have the higher chance of good return of investment as well. That is why the phrase "no guts no glory" is more accurate on this.

real estate is always proven to be good especially when the location is in the commerce area. this kind of diversification is safer coz you still own the house or the lot whatever happens to the city. i haven't done any of the diversification that involve real estate though. but there are suggestions to invest on real physical gold which i think its much better if you move some of your wealth from fiat.

if i have more wealth i would likely buy gold other than BTC. so far my diversification is just on crypto just BTC and altcoins.

Why do you think diversification is bad?
Diversification is good but we must know how to diversify our assets in the right way.
As long as we diversify most our assets in the recommended assets, I think it will be good option. For example, we diversify our crypto assets in some top coins. Besides we invest in Bitcoin, we can choose some top altcoins with strong fundamentals (Ethereum, Solana, BNB coin, etc). But if we diversify our crypto assets with random coins, it will be very risky. I think only less than 5% of our assets can be put on random coins.

Considering cryptocurrency as an investment, then we have to have in mind that it is important to also learn how we can diversify on the selected assets we have made, its not possible that everyone of us should invested on same coin in crypto, however, in which ever decision we all arrived at, we have to make room for an alternative and this will have to start from the way we have diversify on our asset of investment in crypto, so that we don't get disappointed in whichever way it comes in on us.

there are people who also invest on security which in their term they are buying guns and ammo for protection, this is because they know its a dangerous time already.

now that there is ETH ETFs i think the crypto diversification investment i should have actually is also just the ETH because they have the advantage of the rest because institutions are also going to be flocking into the ETH market.

Diversifying into other crypto is good for investors who can control their emotions because I don't think I can always check the market when the price of bitcoin dips or pumps since altcoins depends on bitcoin price movement. Cryptocurrency is volatile in nature and I don't think it is proper to diversify into same line of investment. Bitcoin is good and if you must diversify, you should make sure that you already have a good size of bitcoin and only diversify 10% of your total bitcoin invest to altcoins. I will not diversify to altcoins because we don't know what the future have for them.

My bad for that misleading comment of mine and yeah diversification is the accumulation of assets different from the assets we already have. I think the best and perfect choice if we have enough money is real estate while precious metals is good for back-up purposes due to it's stable nature.

If you have enough tangible assets or floating cash, you can diversify your investments. Diversified investment should give your highest priority to your real assets because if you want to invest in cryptocurrency, you have to take risk as these are volatile assets. At the same time crypto can also give you high profits and many investors have made huge returns in the past. The higher the amount of floating cash you have, the more aggressive investments you can make and the more diversified your portfolio can be.
