Yes, I have been in conversations at a poker table that are totally "normal" between men, if there was a girl there, the conversation would be less colorful.
But in the professional sense, girls don't have that problem, they are used to it, and if the conversation is about the game even more so, but I tell you it's the same with men, not all of them are willing to chat, etc. They go about their business, so headphones and that's it, play poker.
Recently the most important poker tournament in the world was played, the 10k buy-in NLH Main Event, and some women play it, but seeing some of them reach the final stages is always curious, and not because they are not good at playing, it's because out of 10,112
(1) participants (2024), very few are women, but this year Kristen Foxen
(2) managed to get far, just a couple of positions away from entering the table, but anyone would say, "lucky," really not,this girl has managed to win 4 WSOP bracelets.
