I even bought some BTC during the bloody market... this has happened several times in the cryptocurrency market, so some people who have good hand strength will still choose to hold on and don't want to lose in their trading.... I myself still don't want to get out of the market as soon as possible, there is still some hope after this year's Bitcoin halving occurs.. still hoping that the price will bounce back sometime in the future, whether in 3 months or 6 months, I am ready to wait for it.

This year, August is really living up fully to its reputation as the GHOST MONTH which means it is not good for investments and it is affecting heavily the cryptocurrency market. However, there is no reason to panic as this is not the first time that this thing happened to the industry and not also the last. Eventually, the market will return green and this will just be history. Unfortuantely, some experts are saying that this anemic situation will persist into September and going into the last quarter this is the time not generally good for crypto...so we might as well expect real growth ahead into the first quarter of 2025. Now, with this gloom scenario the best thing to do is to buy more or add more to your portfolio as long as you are dealing with top coins and not shitcoins. Warning: this is just my speculation and I am not good in predicting the future.

Yes it would be better to sell those coins to buy bitcoin instead. Bitcoin is less volatile than the shit coins. The shit coins can give you higher ROI but their fall would be of higher negative ROI. You can even prefer to DCA while buying bitcoin but make sure you do not leave those altcoins but sell them. Also do not buy any coin when the price is high already.

Sorry for your bad feelings but if you intend to check your portfolio every day or week your mood will be affected a lot, make your investment in Bitcoin long term and buy when the color is red or the price has decreased by 10% or more then your portfolio will grow well in the coming years. I will take everything you write with a grain of salt, because someone who starts on the forum as a shill usually has no sincere intentions in anything else. As for all those worthless tokens you get or buy on your favorite CEX, maybe this is a lesson to you that junk is just junk, no matter how attractive it looks.

Yeah, convert them immediately to stable coins or other old coins like ETH, SOL, or whatever blockchain that token is on.

This is panic selling. You are afraid that you will lose out. Probably you are still a baby in the market or you are into short term investment. Op if you are investing for long term then you don't have to worry and it is very good that the price is coming down because you will use this period to invest more and accumulate to your wallet. Now that f bitcoin goes down to $20k which will be the dip and you will be panicking the more instead use that opportunity to acquire more. Don't be panic, your cons are intact.

The coins you have accumulated are high volatile altcoins and such coins tend to give you quick profits when the market is all good but the damage they give you will be beyond imaginable when you check your portfolio, this is why you should have sold them when you have the chance and invest them into other altcoins that you think are having much volume and even though they are volatile, when they reduce in value, they will quickly raise up again. That is what your altcoins should have done but it seems many have sold and move on to other projects.

Now that you've felt it, it's up to you now to make some adjustments. What do I mean when I say adjustments? Adjustments to your emotions and to your strategy as well.

You felt heartbroken? Don't be, but instead, take the opportunity to buy. I've seen the market going down worse than what we saw yesterday. If this is the first time you've seen that kind of price movement then brace yourself especially if you're a long term holder because you will encounter much more in the future. Selling when people are panicking is the worst thing to do. You're like what most newbies did yesterday. Selling because they panicked, but you should not to. If you have spare money for the moment, take the opportunity and buy more Bitcoins.

It already has recovered but not the previous high though it's goong up already so no need to worry about it and instead buy additional assets so you won't regret missing the lowest entry possible. On my part I just save all my Bitcoin rewards from signature campaign since I don't have extra money to buy.

Well, I guess it's a good thing that you have realized that taking profit is an important part of or to become successful in crypto, since the market in general is not predictable, which simply means that anything, (a pump or dump) can happen at any time without any form of warning or alert, always take profit in other not to end up in regrets.

The August crash have indeed affected a lot of things and people to be honest, I too checked my wallet and saw that a token I spend about $1500 on has gone down so bad that what is left off my $1500 investment is just around $300, but I am not panicking because this is not the first time I am seeing such, all that really matters right now is that we all learn to be patient, and at the end up the storm, there will always come sun and light again.

This is Crypto goodmorning for a newbie.  Sorry about your experience with the current market situation but however, this is the exact reason why we are advised to trade with funds we can afford to lose so it doesn't affect us.
While some people are making loses, some sees it as a good entry point where investors can take notes and be positioned in the market trend to invest while market is very low because they have the believe to make huge profit from it.

If only OP can be patient, op would make good profit after the down trend as it is that the  market is picking up gradually. Patience is all what is just needed by OP
