There are stupid scammers, and there are smart ones too. Don't let former cloud your judgement.
I agree with what you are saying, my point is that one can avoid these scammers, all they need is just one mistake or one loophole for them to attack, i try as much as possible to make sure i do not make any mistake that can make me vulnerable to scammers. Even people who use hardware wallet or cold storage and still get scammed made one mistake or the other that made them open to scam, however, if you use cold storage and you know what you are doing, it is almost impossible to get scammed.

One of the reasons why we fall victim to scams or hacking is because we underestimate them. Sometimes if we think we are smart, we think that all the steps we are taking are correct. We don't realize that there are things we still need to know. So to avoid or minimize being a victim of hacking let's not be too confident, always make sure our decisions and actions in terms of your assets in crypto.

I feel that some major reason that makes some people to become victims is because of greed, inpatient and carelessness. Some people are careless with their security and that is why they get scammed, some people too are greedy to the extent that they invest in sweet fake offers.

Greed is the true nature of human beings, and of course the level will also vary.
As a beginner who does not understand how the crypto market works, you will be tempted by the offer of high income, even though it is just a trap.

There are many types of scams that can trap anyone, and some scams are aimed at beginners.
I was also a beginner and fell into a trap that cost me thousands of dollars, but it was a valuable lesson for me.

That's right, if I trace all my history of being a victim of fraud, it is because of the sweet promises of the fraudster, my greed and ignorance of the current conditions... I have been a victim of fraud several times, and all the methods are different... the amounts vary, starting from $ 3 to the largest of $ 500 +... from there I began to learn that trusting people I just met is not a wise move... especially for buying and selling transactions, the existence of a middle man or escrow is quite important to secure our transactions...

Starting in 2021, I have very often used escrow or middle man services for transactions worth more than $ 50... and started to be a little skeptical of strange offers on the internet.

It's better to use an escrow service that is trusted and has good feedback.
Instead of p2p transactions but still can't be trusted because of new people, there will often be fraud if you only trust new people without any research at all.

There are many offers that appear in telegram messages, emails and other social media.
It's better to just ignore it and not get interested because I have a lot of offers coming from new people who obviously they just want to cheat.

Although I think there are users that are already aware of this kind of attacks so I'm assuming that there are not anymore victims in this kind of phishing scams. Anyway, we should still be very attentive with this kind of attacks, just saying.
Even in where i live, scammers also sent text messages and even make phone calls, impersonating reps of a particular service, you are right that there is a lot of awareness on scams and scammers like this and their victims have reduced, but they still get victims. I hope we get to the point where scammers get little to no victims again.

I know, in the beginning of my crypto journey, I was also scam by this so called bitcoin doubler, the good thing is that I didn't invest as much as the person that invited me, so it's lessons here for me not to trust anyone.

And so it's good that I experience it though I will say, because it really gives me this lesson in the beginning. And so even if I got phishing text or email, I just deleted it and ignore because I know from first hand experience already.

Don't answer texts and messages from random people who promise that they will make you money. This is a very common scam that could completely wipe you out if you're not careful.
A very popular scam fueled by greed, if not greed tell me why someone would believe that a complete stranger would help them make money or double the money that they have, that is totally ridiculous. The scammer would only end up scamming the person, taking away the little the person has, this experience has taught a lot of people not to be greedy.
We must admit that the scammer is smarter than the one being cheated, because his cleverness is able to provide more trust so that they are willing to do whatever he tells them to do, because they are indeed lured by a prize that has set a trap to be able to take everything they have., But it could be that what you say is true because greed can no longer control itself to be able to understand whether it is true or not but immediately believes it.
I think it's natural because the scammer makes this his livelihood, and we must understand more about this.

It all boils down to moderating your greed and learning how to trace and getting familiar with good projects, Newbies easily believe on everything presented to them because they dont want to feel left behind, or FOMO, After being late on so many projects, they are in a hurry to check for the project they think will yield them good profit, but unfortunately, its not the case in many projects, even if the project is that good therestill no guarantee of profit.

If you're a beginner, then always try as much as possible to see that you tidy up the way you go about cryptocurrency investment by learning form those that already have the experience, then its also a good idea to start small and then later grow the investment with time, we must also try to avoid alts to an extent if we really want to reduce the chances on getting involved with shitcoins.

Indeed. Those 3 things are the main reasons. People who never care about these, will easily become the victim. Moreover if people don't care with their security, scammers will be easy to scam them. Both beginners and experienced people actually have the same chance to be scammed if they are careless. That's why it is very recommended to be careful in everything we do in crypto, especially when it is related to managing our assets. We must be very careful to keep our passwords, key phrase, and etc. This private data should be stored in a very safe place.

Knowledge is always the key to anything much more so in the cryptocurrency market. We should not always believe everything we see and must not allow ourselves to be swayed by an appeal to greed...like those programs that claim to give us good income even if we are doing nothing. Usually scams can be persuasive because they know what they are doing and they know that human nature is weak when facing that prospect to gain and profit more. Now, in the cryptocurrency market, there are so many scams and it is because scammers understand their target market so well and they have the strategies to get us to their wings...we should always be careful and must take anything with some grain of salt. Losing money to scams can be a terrible feeling though it can also be a big learning experience.

Over confidence definitely not good and a lot of people make mistakes from being over confident but then you have a point also, greed, and carelessness are major factors that make people fall victim to hacks and scams. Greed will let you believe anything possible to just earn money quickly without minding if they are legit or fake, you will do anything for the money while being careless to not even bother to verify the authenticity of it.

The crypto world is now full of deception and we shouldn’t just believe anything we hear or see and at all times we should safeguard our wallets and not interact with strangers or share personal information with them.

Over confidence definitely not good and a lot of people make mistakes from being over confident
sooner or later someone who is overconfident will be humbled down of course they will learn a lesson but it would have been learned the hard way some people might even lose their confidence from making a mistake but as long as you have enough knowledge then you can trust yourself

Overconfident!. Aside from the internet space, I often come across people who are overconfident in themselves but have no clue of what they are getting involved in. Theoretically, I classify them as people with pride, who are never ready to learn, or even ask for assistance. They act as if they know everything, which they do not. We also encounter similar people on the internet, who behave as if they are experts in every thing.

One thing I have never been shy about is asking questions, no matter how stupid it may sound. There are certainly some mistakes that can be avoided if we ask questions in the first place, rather than making decisions based on assumptions. However, if someone feels he/she have enough knowledge in a particular area, then there is nothing wrong with making personal decisions, at least those decisions aren't based on assumptions.
