Hello my people, I greet una special, I no know if something like this don dey in existence here in this forum, but if none make bring amm for una.

The premises of this thread is to appreciate quality posts here in the local board :

Condition:
1: Low quality poster to avoid posting here or your links will be deleted.

2: 1 link per day

3: Alt participation is highly prohibited

4: open to newbies and above

I will try as much as possible to update the thread once in a week with updates of links reviewed, and rewarded with karma.

People may not like to do this (I mean especially for already established members that have some friends and influence already on this forum) because they see Karma similar to the likes on social media. I see Karma as cheap to earn. But this might help some newbies.

Frankly speaking I have not gotten the message of this thread. Please can you make it clear. Because when u shey alte no dey allow. And I don't think di active members here e get alts. And if di thread Na to appreciate quality post, you can give di karma on the thread. So creating another thread to give karma is somehow confusing me. But make we see how di whole idea go be. Because those quality posts u dey talk e no go be here in the post for you to give di karma but Na foe do main board.

The thread nor Dey confusing the only things wey I see nah several limitations wey follow the thread due to the nature of this forum.

First, the number of karma you can give to a user that submitted numerous constructive posts will be limited because you can’t send karma to a user consecutively - you’ll have to wait for 10hours before you can give karma to that same user again, so that’s the first limitation.

The second one is the fact that you won’t be able to tell if the post has received karma before or not - remember in Bitcointalk threads like this were created so that post that deserves merits that didn’t get any can be merited - but here you don’t know if the post has been read before and given karma, unless you just want to work with the mindset of “whether it has received karma or not I’ll still award it more karma”  this will be a challenge but still kudos for having the growth and development of others in mind.

Baba thank you, I done carry your suggestion take amend the thread, number of posts submit na 1 per day now which is somewhat less stressful for me to read through those posts instead of the formal 2 links I mention per day.

Once again I appreciate your input and support, make una also dey help put eye for the thread and if you see any link we're make sense you fit give karma also, just to encourage quality posting habits.

I was also thinking of it too although it is not limited to one person but every one who deems it fit can also do it as well but I think we should just focus on this thread and do the task. Thank you for your support, the work no be for one person as far as say you be senior member above and can give karma, so if you see any link you can do the needful by reviewing the posts and award them accordingly.

Like I said this initiative is to promote quality posts here in the local board and the general board as well so I so much like you idea to include the general forum, thank I will include that in the next update of this thread.

Fantastic work! This will improve the quality of posts on our local board. I've looked over my previous posts on this board and realized that I really need to work on my posting way. I also think it's a good idea to accept links from general boards because it will inspire our members who haven't been active here to start contributing to our local board. excellent work once again

Good effort, but since karma is not given to the posts, the account will be evaluated as a whole instead of some posts. It can be done to show the accounts that deserve support and to report spammers.

You are right about this and I think that is why the OP said, only one link at a time to be submitted for review per day. With 24 hours in a day, that 10hours time frame would have elapsed and the user already eligible for another karma. This could encourage newbies to drop more quality post often so as to get karma on those posts. It just serves as an encouragement and I see it as something welcoming and great for the community to help clear or reduce spam.

This is not an issue to me, even in bitcointalk a post that deserve more than one merit can be given more than one by a user or can be given more by other members. In this forum, even if a user can’t give karma more than once, other users that have come across the post can karma it which means the post deserves more karma. This could be limitations but when you look deep into it, those limitations can’t be an hindrance to reward posts that are worthy of being given karma.

The aim of this thread is two and which are:

1: the increase activities on this board mostly by member who are below senior members.

2: to increase quality of post because if a spammer post a link to review, the whole account activities will be reviewed and only the post that is worth it will get karma.

Post reviewed, keep posting helpful comments and you will rank up accordily, also good to see you engaging in the discussion and hope you read the comment I left on that posts, reply if you need to but then overall keep being active in the local board and the general board.

Mind you, you can also submit your quality posts from the global board in the forum for posts review, I and others will read through and see if it worth a karma.

Keep doing the lord's work brother, I am just coming across this thread now and going through it, I must say that this is a very good initiative, I; severely weeks ago thought of starting something exactly like this, but on a second thought, I discouraged myself since the Karma system of this forum is not the same as the merit system on bitcointalk, for on bitcointalk, one can't give merit if they don't own or have some of it, but here, karma is like a Facebook like button, literally everyone as some the senior member rank can give karma, so this basically makes earning karma more easier pehaprs, this is what I thought and why I felt there was no need for an initiative like this.

But then, reality have proven that indeed, we need something like specially for the newbies, since the high ranking ones (most of them) seem not to really care about giving Karma to others, so, initiative like this will really go along way in helping newbies.
