I think this deserves a separate thread for discussing this fight here.
The fight will be in one month and no much movement in the odds with Naoya Inoue still the huge favorite.

The betting here is what round would Inoue knockout Doheny as many of us thinks that this would end via KO.

Yeah, we totally forget about this fight.  ;D. And if we look at the odds, Inoue is a huge favorite again and it seems that sports bookies are not going to give TJ Doheny his credit here.

Most likely though, this is going to be another knockout win for Inoue. I mean the man is unstoppable at this division. And so we will wait for him to go to featherweight after this fight and see if he can maintain that power against the champions at 126 lbs.

The betting here is what round will Naoya Inoue will knockout Doheny as most or all of us expect this fight to end via knockout with Inoue winning. The chance of an upset is very slim as Inoue might be very careful this time around as to not repeat with that knockdown he encountered when he fought Nery.

I agree, we will see exciting fight of Inoue when he move up to the featherweight division and see if he brings up his power on that category.

If I'm not mistaken, the line is 4.5 rounds, over and under. Maybe a round range or even the exact round might be a good bet. But still very hard to determine as Inoue might play again just like what he did against Nery. Wherein he taunted him to attack and then Nery caught him with a good hook causing him to taste the canvass.

It's good that he has a good chin as well, if not, he could be very well staying in the canvass. So for now, it's very hard to predict what rounds will Inoue going to score a knockout and win.

The betting here is what round would Inoue knockout Doheny as many of us thinks that this would end via KO.

I will rule out an upset here; the discrepancy in style and power is just too wide that Inoue is guaranteed to win here and for boxing lovers who wants excitement and who wants to see unexpected events, this is not a fight to see, I will skip watching this as its not going to bring anything to expectators who loves a good fight only those who are avid Inoue fans are going to watch this fight.

Yeah, and to be honest, this kind of fight is what make UFC more attractive to watch you, just saying. Inoue is almost assured of a win here and then he doesn't want to get out of his comfort zone and fight in the US.

No doubt that he is a great fighter but he should be go out and fight in the US and hopefully this will happen next if he goes up in weight at featherweight as most of the fighters are state side now. And he doesn't have the bargaining power as he is new in the division.

Another fight in Japan? Anyway, high KO percentage for both fighters suggests that this is not going full 12 rounds. I'm guessing that both fighters will be cautious of each others power in the three to six rounds. Once that's over, Inoue is more likely to take over.

He is overstaying in the Super Bantamweight division; if he wants to be a legacy fighter, he should move to the next division, which is the featherweight division, He may be the most exciting fighter to watch in boxing but if he is in a division where there is a lack of competition, and he is not facing top level fighters people will lose interested to watch his fight.

He is very popular in Japan but the boxing community will not look at boxers who ignore the appeal of fighting overseas to test himself if he can handle the pressure of fighting outside of his comfort zone.

Inoue is just too good in the super bantamweight at the moment and you are right mate, the is not much competition for him in this division and moving one notch north is the way to go for him but in terms of exposure to the US fans, i don't think that the Japanese Monster is looking for that fame as they will fight in Japan as long as the money is the same and belt remains in Japan.

He just want to clean the division again, like what he did in bantamweight and so I would not say that he is overstaying. But if we have to think about it, I would say that it's like getting boring for him as he usually knocks his opponent out and as we have notice, he is really this good at this division.

That's why we wish that he will go up and weight at featherweight because that's where the real challenge might be for sure. Guys at 126 lbs are bigger, taller and heavier for Inoue and that will really test how good Inoue is if he can win a belt at this division.

he is still 31, he should be able to handle fights in 126. he did mention he will just defend a few times before moving up, i think this is his last in the bantamweight. and overtime he really need to move up where there is money to make especially to fighters willing to go to japan to fight.

if there is no fighter willing to go to japan, i guess arum will have to find ways to mandate someone to go there. it was said TJ Doheny is known in japan for he had fought in the country several times.

if there is no fighter willing to go to japan, i guess arum will have to find ways to mandate someone to go there. it was said TJ Doheny is known in japan for he had fought in the country several times.

They will never runs out of fighters that are willing to go to Japan to fight Inoue as fighting the Japanese Monster is like winning a lottery, i mean that could be the biggest purse they will ever received once they fight Inoue.

TJ Doheny is popular in Japan because he have fought several times there that is why they choose him as Inoue's opponent as the criteria for you to be able to fight Inoue as of this time is you have to be popular in Japan :).

Yes, American fighters travel to Japan and more willing to face Inoue because of the possible big paycheck. And it's more of a bragging rights to travel to Japan and have the chance to beat their home town hero.

Right mate, he has at least 3 winning fights in Japan and so he is more popular or at least well known there. Fight is about 2 weeks if I'm not mistaken, and so there could be media already in Japan to cover for this fight. Saw video of Inoue and he looks like he is already very much prepared 100%.

That's what he said, he wanted to move up in weight and so this could be his last fight at 122 lbs and then next year, gonna be great to see him at featherweight as the challenge is going to be real and might be the first time that we will see Inoue really putting a lot of works in the process just to defeat a high rank boxers or even a champion. So it's a good test for him on how he will fare with the bigger and taller guy at 126 lbs. Likes of Rey Vargas and then the new champion in Leo which is a hard hitter and his body is really huge and maybe at fight night those guys will go above 130 - 140 lbs.

Another fight in Japan? Anyway, high KO percentage for both fighters suggests that this is not going full 12 rounds. I'm guessing that both fighters will be cautious of each others power in the three to six rounds. Once that's over, Inoue is more likely to take over.
Absolutely! Though I am not that familar with Doheney but I know he can give Inoue a good fight even though gamblers will take Inoue who has an edge on this match but that range of rounds you gave no doubt about that if Doheney won't score a knockout against the monster. But I can also say that we cannot call a monster "a monster" if he's just staying inside his cage so yeah I think we need to see the Japanese guy fight outside of his comfort zone.
