Altcoins will never fail to amaze me. Solana is also dumping, same coin I was willing to buy at $238 because the way it was moving but I didn't have much funds to DCA and now it's cheaper like it was never there.

Just as altcoins are generally more asymmetrical, where you can make 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x instead of earning less with Bitcoin, the opposite is also true
While BTC falls 10%, altcoins fall more, 20%, 30%
Imagine if BTC goes back to 80k, SOL goes to 100 USD again and ETH 2.5k
And if falls to 50k USD like you said, it will be a blood market hehehe

Bitcoin is safer but it's not the most yielded with profits. Last year Christmas to this price of Bitcoin, it's about 125% but when you compare it with Solana, you will see that it has more than what Bitcoin has done this year and if not for SBF mismanagement that kills Solana price, it used to be one of the biggest altcoins that has plenty potential.

Due price have large correction I think right now is the best time for investing or buy Solana since raise up above $180 and right now price decreasing drastically until $161. No get problem for Solana recovery to higher price at short term usually following the bitcoin price and easy raise up again if bitcoin haven recovery, most of altcoin I see Solana have faster way get recovery when bitcoin have hitting to higher price and difference with other top altcoin because very difficult following bitcoin recovery price.

Well solana has been on a down trend for quite a while now and when last I observed it on coin market cap chart though I didn't use candles, I made use of the line chart actually and it seems to be more like a retracement at first glance anf and an altcoiner would be looking to buy more sol to hodl before the next pump may probably happen.
For crypto traders on the other hand they would likely be taking a short sell since the trend may reverse to the upside anytime but still a buy could be a nice opportunity if you are able to make a sniper entry.

For the long term bitcoin is the best and I think it is quite safe. I also hold bitcoin for the long term because I bought it when the price was still low two years ago and hold it until now because I plan to sell it next year and the profit is to buy property.
