When I trade on Pancakeswap, it's usually through the web. I also find the mobile app too slow but it's nothing like what you experienced. Mine is probably just a 10-minute delay at most but I still find it annoying.
It's true that the user experience on the Pancake website with a wide screen is usually much better compared to using a crypto wallet on a smartphone, but I rarely encounter delays of up to several minutes. The only time this happened quite badly was when BSC had issues and was congested, causing transaction fees on Pancake to skyrocket and many swap orders to fail.
I think the problem might not lie with Pancake because it's just a protocol, users can check their crypto wallet app to ensure that it's working properly. Updating the crypto wallet app can be done if necessary to ensure the user experience, especially in terms of time.
