Why the negative Karma?

Firstly let me start by spotting out the fact I have literally gotten negative Karma more than once but my question is for what reason??  Of course many members here teleported from bitcoin talk and so they should know me and how I post. Lets just say I'm not a spammer coupled with the fact that I'm quite good with technical discussions on average. I don't post garbage so why the negative Karma like for what reason?
Everyone should have noticed that Mia never insults even on bitcoin talk, I haven't criticised anyone either.

I hate that the admin do not let us see who gives who karma. Even if the negative karma is sent to a quality posts, you can not know. Even if we can not all see it, the person that is given the karma should be able to see it so that the person can post the evidence on this forum about how some people misuse karma.

I'm sorry, Mia is not a saint. Even saints get criticised. Don't expect to appear perfect to everyone. You have gotten a bunch of positive karma, did you create a thread to ask why you've got positive karma? I don't think creating a thread is the best approach you should take here. Maybe it's because of the telegram notifier you use. Sometimes my karma adds and sometimes it's stagnant as if it's reducing, but I can't actually track it because I don't use a notifier and I don't care.

Personally, I don't like giving negative karma to anyone, except plagiarists and spammers. In some cases, I have intended giving +ve karma but mistakenly clicked -ve karma. But in such situations I'll click the + again to balance. This might also be what happened to you.
I have given you +1, don't let a -ve karma bother you, it's part of the system.

It's common as not everyone is satisfied with all your comments. Though we can't tell for sure if some people does it on purpose as an acj of wickedness, but then this is an online forum and a place for millions of users who views things from different angles. So no one can tell. Th only problem I have with the karma is we not being able to see who give a positive or negative karma to us it's kind of not fine with me and most forum members would say same. If admin makes it open to view maybe we might even end up catching some people who might have been abusing the karma system, sending it to their alts or friends.

Lol who would create a thread for positive karma. Yes of course you have a hell  lot of point. However I was pissed to see some negative Karma for no reason I would say. It just didn't seem fair worst part of it like _act_ mentioned is that you can't even tell who gave it, the reason for it or even the post where it came from. Well I'm not surprised that everyone can't like me whether good of bad everyone still can't be my friend lol .
Anyways I'm ok with someone correcting me on forum infact it's a very nice way to learn not only on forum but also in real life. Hopefully the Karma system becomes more transparent some day. Thanks for the karma though.

Look I am sure people have given me negative karma on the ETH threads as I hate ETH and pretty much write attacks against it now and then.

We all will get neg karma.

 My only wish about karma is to know what post gets a negative. I can then tell if I wrote something stupid or if the person is just being silly.

This will be a nice improvement of the karma system. If we cannot know who left karma in our profiles, we should atleast know which posts got us positive karma and the ones that got us negative karma. This will help improve on some types of posts and maybe another other type that brings negative karma.

But when I make a post that is karma worthy, I'll know. Just like when I make a merit worthy post in the other forum.
However, when the karma comes, you can only guess the post that recieved it

I believe someone might not like the way you write your posts or you might have written a direct post on a threads 3rd page or higher by quoting the OP. That happens sometimes but I suggest you to avoid the negative Karma as long as you're receiving positive Karma.

It's quite hard to see who has sent someone a positive karma or a negative karma but for positive karma most people mention +1 while for a negative karma no one says anything. I hope in future we may have a system on the forum where we may know who sent us positive or negative karma, meanwhile it's better to focus more on making quality posts instead of being sad because of those negative karma.

For now we cannot know who leaves us +/- karma, or on which post we received it, i hope the admin addresses that sooner rather than later, it would be a great addition to the forum. In the meantime, it is easy for people to abuse karma and give people - karma for no reason, it sucks but there is nothing we can do about it now. - Karma should only be for low quality posters and posts, but right now i am sure there are members who give - karma just because people disagreed with them.

Actually with the current plus and negative karma button without giving alerts after clicking it or before proceeding, sometimes you cant remember if the + or - is the one you click. Since you cannot correct it if accidentally click the "-" one and wait for 10 hours to correct it, that's how ineffecient this small buttons, especially in mobile device.

With all the complaints about karma system, i guess -1 or two should be fine as long its not more than that, as i feel its abused or penalty from admin.

Yeah most times you can tell how you got a positive Karma but most times you are totally clueless on how you got a negative Karma. Hopefully admin makes changes to the karma system sooner. Lol Phil you've always been a bitcoin supporter and looking at a great deal of wall observer guys on bitcoin talk they literally don't like any altcoins especially the likes of centralised ones like Ethereum. Actually I personally don't talk bad of altcoins. My only concern is meme coins that are simply pump and dump schemes by the creators.

As I recall, the weight of karma (-) is greater than karma (+) on points, I suggest you don't make this mistake often.

This is the answer of a wise man... we can't change other people's assessment of us, because everyone has their own character... something that we think is right is not necessarily right for others, so stop thinking of ourselves as perfect in everyone's eyes, that's not the best solution right now....

If the main focus is to avoid negative karma, then reduce posts that make other people hate our posts. People who hate will easily click on negative karma on related posts. And if the hatred is very deep, then every day he will click on negative karma on our posts which makes it even more confusing.

But the rules of this forum are a bit complicated because we should know why, how, who gave negative karma. Breaking the rules ? .Feel free to go through my post history and see my posting style for yourself. I'm not a shit poster same way I don't break rules. Infact no ordinary member of this forum has the right to directly punish a rule violator except you are an admin or a moderator. The best should be reporting such person or making the whole thing known to the forum so the forum moderators can do the needful.
Personally the best I could say Is I've been given negative Karma on the basis of differences in Idea or point of view, which is not supposed to be so. A negative Karma is not something to be given just because someone else has a different view from you. Infact let's not ignore the fact that if everyone had exactly the same view there would be no need to create topics.
